How is nobody talking about that Avery Bradley rumor?

Mainly because it originated from MySportsLegion, who are as disreputable as it gets.

However given the Celtics draft and their roster makeup, Bradley would seem a very gettable target once Haywoods contract matures to the 10 million figure.

Fair enough. Still would love Mo as our backup. Too great of a story

I would love to see who Griffin can get us with those assets.
the smith/shump/mozgod move's were unbelievable, if Griff can pull anything like that again were gonna be amazing this year

Just to clarify, Pointer still counts towards the roster even if he's down the D League.

Not if he isn't given a guaranteed NBA contract. :chuckle:

He will not be signed, but will instead be funneled to the Charge. Similar to how we treated Kevin Jones IIRC. He won't take a roster spot.

So there is a plan the FO knows what it is, LeBron knows what it is, and it will include moves that are not "anticlimactic" between now and the end of July.

Watching the interview the "anticlimactic" comment is at the beginning talking about the Cavs, and the "end of July" comment is near the end and he's just talking about trades in general around the NBA.

I like Avery Bradley, but what will he offer that Delly doesn't? I mean, yeah, Bradley is obviously a better version of Delly in terms of being a better defender and much better at attacking the paint. But like Delly, he can't exactly run the offense or create for others.

I think Celtics would ultimately end up trading him and few others to Sixers for one of their bigs.

Yeah, that would seem to be a waste of a guy's rights though. I would rather try to work an American draft and stash type situation like OKC did. I think we were more willing to do what we did with Kevin Jones because he was an UDFA and it wasn't the end of the world if they lost him.

But taking a guy in the second just to turn around a cut him seems silly. That being said, I'm sure they would do it if we needed a roster spot for a better vet player.

Irving-Mo Gotti-Delly
Shump-Smith-Harris
James-Gay-Miller
Love-TT-Varejao
Mozgov-Varejao-TT

+ bench fodder

During one of Windy's appearances either on ESPiN or WKNR, he said something like "If Haywood is still here after the draft, 99% chance Love returns". I read it in one of these threads, but don't remember which one, and can't find it now. Does anyone where that was posted here and/or what the contextwas when he said it?
