Cavs still interested in Koufos + Wes Matthews (to no avail) via Chris Haynes.
As hard as it was for the Cavaliers to get some good players in with Lebron last go around (we failed), I'd be surprised if we actually get a decent center or SG that really work with the system this year. None of these teams want to give us our missing pieces just so they can snatch up Dion freakin' Waiters or whoever else. They realize we're getting quite close to being able to put a choke hold on just about everyone in the East for years to come.
At least I know if I were a GM I sure as heck wouldn't want to help the Cavaliers in their current position without getting something very good in return.
Either we get lucky, taking advantage of a desperate organization, or we can find a free agent at some point that wants to come to Cleveland for the championship prospects.
Oh good lord, yes please Wes Matthews.Cavs still interested in Koufos + Wes Matthews (to no avail) via Chris Haynes.
Matthews is the ideal fit here, but no way we get him.

Also Haynes says that Griffin isn't afraid to make an unpopular deal. My guess is that could mean a player might be involved from our current squad that people don't want to see leave.
yuck
Are we honestly still complaining about this trade? There was literally nothing else we could have done. If we decided to wait it out then there was a chance LeBron went back to Miami due to our inability to clear space.
Get over it.
That could work too. Hopefully you're right cuz that would be great. If this happens, I'm gonna guess it's more like:
Kosta Koufos for TPE
AND
Tayshaun Prince for Dion Waiters, Lou Amundson, and Alex Kirk
