Cavs looking at S&T for Johnson, Bosh

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Yeah, and does anybody what the 3rd part of the triangle is? Is it a PG?

... Everyone is part of the triangle.

It can be adjusted for each play, traditionally a PG would initiate from the corner, but, again, there is a lot of flexibility on positioning.

2 players play a 2-man game on the weak side, depending on what the defense does, and you play 1 to 2 players in the post. Ideally, everyone is spaced out evenly on the floor to keep the defense from clogging the lane.

The idea in the triangle is every player has 2 people they can pass to, and traditionally a pair of guards on the wing distribute the ball to a big in the post to get an easy lay-up, but Tex Winter and Jackson evolved it far beyond that.

I don't know if this has been thrown out there but is there a possibility we can get either Joe Johnson or Ray Allen AND Amare Stoudemire through S&T? Possibly use our MLE on Allen?

they would be awesome inclusions, their not ball-dominate players, feed off passers but can create their own shots. Because personally right now Amare & Johnson one or the other seem like more realistic options then Bosh, just wondering if we could possibly land them both.

seems like joe johnson is the most feasible of them all, which i guess i would take if anything were to actually happen

Bingo!

I think we would be one of the few teams that would give overpay JJ and give him a Rashard Lewis type deal, if only for finally getting that second banana behind Lebron.

Is he worth it? Individually? Probably not. But as a 20 million dollar investment in the team, i cant help but feel that this is the way to go. That is two players who can really break down a defense. Also, Boobie gets promoted to starter and does what Mo Williams does anyway--give the ball to Lebron and wait in the corner.

Losing Andy hurts, but you gotta give something to get something right? And it isn't like we are hurting for PF's.

I hear bosh-miami is done ..bosh-wade shared agent avoids tampering...its why beasley, chalmers, anthony still here...raptors get them about 1 hour ago via web

Almost certainly not. Amare will command a max contract, as will Joe Johnson. It can be argued that neither are worthy of such a distinction, but in this very manufactured free agency market where many teams have tanked to create cap space, you will see organizations like the Knicks and Nets artificially inflate players true value in a bidding war against other teams -- simply in the interest of not getting shut out.

Considering that, we would need nearly $30M in mostly talent-oriented contracts to trade for both Johnson and Stoudemire (no team will want only expirings for a player that's liable to walk anyway). So while Delonte and Wally can be used, we'd basically need to gut the team. And honestly, we just don't have the assets for two trades of that magnitude. Especially when you consider that we'd probably be taking back either Calderon or Hedo.

Lastly, if 3 superstars wanted to play on the same team, knowing they'd have no supporting cast, bench, role players, etc; their first choice destination would not be Cleveland, Ohio.

Bosh traded to Miami

FYI, try to avoid double-posts (just use the edit feature, I do all the time). But this report has already been shot down.

Don't get me wrong, I can definitely see Bosh going to Miami, but not in a S&T. Toronto would get much better assets back from another team, probably doesn't want Beasley, and if Miami trades Chalmers who plays PG, Wade? Do they use cap to sign a point or another wing? These reasons are why its easier for them to keep Chalmers in place.

The Heat, if they get Bosh, will sign him outright.

AJC report that Hawks preparing 6-year Bird Rights deal is devastating news to potential Joe Johnson suitors. He wants to stay in Atlanta.

is the joe johnson thing good for us or not? i think it would seem good.

I just wish Bosh would sign with us, Amare would sign with Heat, Boozer to Chicago, Wade, Johnson and Bron stay home...Nets and Knicks get fucked

your scenario has a real chance of coming true, IMO...

No way Andy is included in a trade for JJ. You should never trade a big for a small unless the big is pretty weak. I would prefer Bosh though. Triangle or no triangle.

Anyone else HATE this Rationale?
Joe Johnson is a better Basketball player than Anderson Varejao. You do that trade.

Poster 1:Let's Trade Z for Steve Nash
Poster 2:lawl silly newbz,Cleveland would NEVER trade bigz for smallz lololololololololololol!1!1!eleven!!11

Nothing about a Joe Johnson trade really gets me stoked at all. It is far from a slam dunk, but I'd take it...still would not give up Varejao in a deal for him though.

Why?There are a lot more defensive minded centers than there are All-Star SG's,to put it simply.

So jackass Reghi on ESPN 850 just said that a reporter from Miami is reporting that LeBron has contacted Ray Allen to ask him if he would join them for the full MLE if Wade, LeBron and Bosh were all to sign with Miami. Has anyone heard this or read an article about tis?
