Cavs Ticket Questions, Policies, and STH Concerns

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Really wish I bought season tickets now. I know I could only make it to about 1/4 of the games so I thought it'd be crappy to sell that many online, as I'd go to them all if I were closer. But damn, seriously feels like I'll have to look at getting tickets in Indianapolis if I hope to catch a Cavs game at all right now.

Did you get a 10 game package or nothing at all?

Put a deposit down for the 10 game package and haven't heard back as well. At this point, I'm guessing they'll only have single game tickets left. Considering we expected to hear from them 2 weeks ago, this doesn't look good.

Yeah they have butchered this in my opinion. I've already gotten my 10 game package but they are giving all season ticket holders priority to get single games before the general public. They should give people who don't already have tickets first dibs at single games so that everyone has a chance to go.

Thank you so much. I can't tell you how much I appreciate that. I think I'm organizing flights for February/March so I'll let you know. Thanks again!

You can find tickets, but you you may have to pay extra if a game is sold out. Again, you should check out flashseats once its up and running. (flashseats.com). Flashseats is a software program run by the Cleveland Cavaliers, so you know it is legitimate. Season ticketholders can sell their seats on flashseats and you can buy them there. Once you purchase them, the transfer is instant. You can sign up for it now. In the past, there were always seats listed, and the higher you are willing to sit, the cheaper the tickets. If you know when you are coming, you can look to buy them from the Cavaliers when they go on sale to the public, just don't wait. You can always call the Cavs and tell them you are coming from Australia, and I'm hopeful they will accomodate you.

Okay here what we heard today. Please forgive typos. I'm on vacation at a bar on my phone.

We could get ahold of anyone at the phone numbers online and we did not get a direct rep. So we emailed last week and they called us back today. Actually they called my buddy. They have tickets left and they are currently calling on 7/11 deposits. The are being very generous. They are calling you 3 times if they do not get ahold of you. If you don't call back after the third try they moved past you. So if they called me today and got my voicemail they would call again tomorrow and then the next day. So on the fourth day if you haven't called back they move to the next on the list.

I hope I'm explaining this clearly. This is what was relayed to me. Good news is there are still tickets.

Really helpful advice, thank you. I've bookmarked flashseats.com and will do some research this week. As mentioned, I can't imagine every game will be sold out (with people unable to attend on certain nights etc.) and I'm hoping that the fact that I'm coming all the way from Australia might bode well in my favor. Thanks again!

This is the week friends! The schedule comes out on Wednesday and we get closer to the season. I spoke with my ticket rep on Friday and got a little bit of bad news - she said that even though schedule comes out this week, the partial plan holders won't know the games in their package for at least another month. As a 10 game holder that's extremely frustrating because I won't know what games I have when single game tix go on sale, leaving a chance that I buy single game tix to the Lakers game for example and then find out 3 weeks later that I already have tickets for it in my plan.

Hopefully they get all of this straightened out for the future. They're obviously not used to this high demand but maybe they should call up the ticket directors from the Bulls, Mavs, and Spurs for next year :).

Mark my word the season will be sold out the first day tickets go on sale.....yes there will be seats on flash to buy but don't expect to get a seat anywhere near face value

How do you know the schedule comes out on Wednesday? I've been trying to find an official announcement on when it will be released and I can't find anything anywhere.

Last year it was August 6th, but the year before that was the end of July. Not sure how they will handle this year. They need a set day yearly when they do this. It would make things much clearer.

That's what my ticket rep told me.

I saw a couple days ago The Bullshit Whisperer said he expected it to be out Tuesday(tomorrow) but other than his speculation I haven't found anything concrete anywhere saying when it will officially be out. Hopefully they are correct about it coming out Wednesday but we shall see.

Interesting quote from that article: Blame Lebron for the late schedule release. :chuckles:

The NBA schedule generally comes out earlier in the offseason, but had to be reworked with the league's television partners after James' shift from the Heat to the Cavaliers, a decision that came later in free agency than initially expected.
