Cavs Training Camp (roster down to 15)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
LeBron is now a de facto coach, GM, best player...I have never seen an athlete in any sport have this much level of control over an organization from top to bottom.

I think the exact same things were said about Jordan, in terms of how he challenged and drove players in practice and was an extension of the coaching staff. When it came to personnel, Reinsdorf did it his way though and didn't take to much of Jordan's input.

Maybe I'm missing something but after the Bogans deal it seems the Cavs have 15 players in camp. All 15 guys could make the opening roster assuming Allen doesn't sign or another player acquired which I'm assuming will happen sometime between now and the deadline..

The interesting thing is the first time LeBron was here, he was almost coach-less during gametime. Because he did whatever he wanted on the court when it came to offense, everyone just adapted to him. But now he's actually leading other players in practices in a way he never did (or could) the first time.

And given how much say LeBron has in personnel matters now, I'd definitely say this is a step above Jordan.

Raja Bell to join Cavs' coaching staff http://www.sportando.com/en/usa/nba/136006/raja-bell-to-join-cavs-coaching-staff.html…

Maybe should have dug for one of the coaching staff threads but seemed relevant enough here. Griffin connection going back to Phoenix. Played with Marion. Tenacious competitor and perimeter defender, which I assume will be one of his developmental roles on the staff.

Just love the collection of personalities in this organization right now.

This really feels like such a great turning point for the organization. Ignoring the fact we had one of the greatest off seasons in history we've added some extremely respectable names to the coaching staff. And Griffin really has set us up nicely to continue to have flexibility going forward. Just dumbfounded this is where we are now - so impressive.

You can tell that LeBron was tired of always having to bring it up because the ball handlers Chalmer. and Cole couldn't create anything at all.

I like that Kyrie will bring it up it means LeBron will be a lot more off ball and with Griffin that won't mean standing in a corner

Someone tell LBJ its hoisting the trophy not hosting it...lol.. can't wait for Oct 30th!

He's said hosting at least 5 times in other interviews since yesterday.
