ECF: Cavs 4 - Hawks 0

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The series isn't over, but there is now a lot of pressure on the Hawks in game 2. They lost game 1 in the last series and bounced back when Wall missed game 2. Can they do it again against LeBron?

We need to lock in on game 2, and then stay locked in for games 3 and 4. No relaxing until the series is over.
I agree. Going down 0-2 and then playing three of the next five in Cleveland is a tall order.

I just got a notice from NBA Game Time app that there is no structural damage and he is ruled as "day-to-day."

Some teams have all the luck... Why wasn't Love's shoulder injury "day-to-day"?

Folks,

let us get back down to planet earth, we won game one on the road, the Bulls did the same...
We need to lock in game two and then we can be a bit more relaxed, it ain't over till it's over.

People are talking sweep, we are not there yet.
I heard the jackoffs on 92.3 on the drive to work this morning saying we should rest Kyrie for Golden State. Hello!, lets worry about this 60 win team first. Kyrie will get his rest in between series like he has the previous two if we take care of business like we can.

Doesn't matter. The Cavs got a taste for the Hawks and now know how they'll defense them.
No suprises..now the key is to control Teagues.
On offense they know what to do and as long as Lebron doesn't resort to ISO, they should prevail.

Demarre must be the biggest puss. I don't think Shaun Livingston or Paul George acted as bad as he did when their legs fell off.

For what it's worth I've torn my ACL/MCL in one knee and hyperextended the other knee. The hyperextended knee was more painful to me.

In fact, after tearing my ACL, I was able to put pressure on my leg almost immediately. But like DeMarre, I couldn't stand on the leg with a hyperextended knee.

That reaction made me think it was acl or something. Noticed he had a very padded knee pad on there anyway so maybe he has something pre existing that made it hurt more

Just something I'm observing about this one game at least: we're not going gaga over beating the Hawks. We're all happy, but it's just not that visceral, gloating kind of thing we had going on each time we'd eat the Bulls. We'll have to wait until some Hawks broadcaster or player is stupid enough to say something derogatory, or something happens where a Hawks player does something dirty I guess. It's nice to have a "civil" series as it were, but it's not really quite as fun...

This. I agree with you it is not as fun, but I'll take it. It feels like the LAC/Spurs series where it was civil, beautiful basketball (at times) to watch.

This reminds me of when people criticized LeBron last year in the finals for cramping up and not being able to pay.

People really need to just stop it. Carroll's injury is going to cause him a ton of pain.

Demarre really needs to do some knee lifts in the off-season. Seeing that boney thing careen into LBJ's hulkish knee was like watching a food cart get hit by a semi.

Obviously JR isn't going to do that every game. We'll need some other guys stepping up in Game 2.

Just a general comment on this, as it also seems to be a rallying point for Atlanta fans.

Obviously JR is not going to do that again but the flip side is, will Delly and Jones continue to go 0-9 from the floor while getting WIDE open looks. 7 of those 9 misses were 3's and all but I think 1 was without a defender within about 4 feet of them. Jones shot 42% from 3 against Chicago. Delly shot 43%. Shump also went 1-7. So that's a combined 1-16 for 3 guys that played really well in the Chicago series.

That's one of the main reasons I feel really good exiting game one. JR will come back down but our other role players should play much better than they did in game 1. Atlanta is completely overplaying on defense. If LeBron can stay away from dribble ISO, we'll be fine, as shooters were getting wide open looks when he settled in to the post and passed out of doubles / triples.

Opposing fanbases have watched LeBron come out of the game with a hobbled ankle two games in a row and be back on the court in 4-6 minutes and driving like nothing happened. Are you tolerant and understanding when they choose to say things about him being a drama queen or having a low pain tolerance?

Something breaking or not is not the end all determiner in how much pain it causes. There are people in fact who suffer ACL injuries that suffer very minimal pain and thought they just tweaked their knee until x-rays reveal the severity of the injury
