Not sure I get why we need Frye? Isn't he just a taller, worse version of Love?

Well we get rid of one player who we werent using and add someone who will be usable so I guess it's worth it?

Frye is a solid defender and can play center.

The floor spacing with the bigs in the corners will be absolutely deadly.

It will be a layup drill with Kyrie and LeBron.

Always found it hard to like him due to his first name of Channing and his last name reminding me of perpetual slacker Fry from Futurama.

Sad to see Andy go. He's truly the heart and soul of this team and is (was) the longest tenured Cavs player in franchise history.

But this makes us a better basketball team and that's what's important. Frye is posting a +3.15 RPM (8th among all PFs) while shooting near 40% from deep. People will be pleasantly surprised by his contributions.

This is a wonderful move if we gave up no picks. I give Griffin a ton of credit.

Make no mistake, Frye will help us greatly.

We can now play 5-out with Frye at center.

Would you prefer if he was Charlie Frye?

We just added a 40% 3 point shooter and lessened the redundancy of our bigs. And not only is this person a 40% 3 point shooter (now playing with LeBron and Kyrie mind you), but he has legit C size and can actually be played with Love, unlike Ryan Anderson. We also no longer see RJ or JJ playing minutes as a big to provide floor spacing when Love is off the floor.

Been asking for Frye since before the season began around here...guy is going to be getting the best looks at 3s he has ever seen in his career. Let's hope he proves me right.

This is a sad day but Frye makes us a lot more versatile with our line ups.

Athletes with the last name Frye usually do real shitty in Cleveland. Let's hope the trend doesn't continue

It will additionally be great for Love around the elbows and in the post.

Frye will be able to pull the C away from the basket and let Kevin work in less traffic.

    Nailed it.

This moves helps us, in general, and it definitely helps us against the Warriors.

    YES!

Also, Frye can defend. That means if we sit Love late in games, we still have a guy at PF/C who can hit threes.

    This is huge.

    Griff I love you man!
