Channing Frye

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Sad to see Andy go. He's truly the heart and soul of this team and is (was) the longest tenured Cavs player in franchise history.
Somebody forget that this guy existed?

Athletes with the last name Frye usually do real shitty in Cleveland. Let's hope the trend doesn't continue

"Just wait until we get Durant this summer." ~ Heat fans
I know...

But seriously, they are fucked.

Bosh - sadly can't count on him for anything
Wade - 34, dusty, and a free agent. Might lose him for nothing if he wants to try to win one more ring. Else, they'll have to overpay for his services again...and miss the playoffs again.
Whiteside - Free Agent headcase. Heat have actually been better with him off the floor.
Dragic - grossly overpaid, below average starting PG
McRoberts - worthless corpse eating up 6 million a year next 2 years

Winslow is a decent piece. And nobody else on that team matters.

Miami isn't going to matter for a long time.

Same people who love this trade probably loved getting Antwan Jamison too :celb (13):

You will see shortly how worthless this guy is. My brother was a huge Nash fan, I practically watched every game they played. Frye is terrible. Mentally he is very weak.

That's because they asked him to play outside of his skillset.

You have now reached 300 dislikes btw.

I bet your family is so proud of you for your awesome cavs forum reputation

Difference is that we are a far better team now than we were when we got Antwan Jamison.

We got a small supporting piece (Jamison) when we needed to make a splash, because we were way behind the West.

Now we have three superstars, and we need a small supporting piece, and we got it.

Everyone picked us to win that year.......

Typical cavs fan. Frye was fucking trash in his prime, now hes suddenly a great player at 32? Guy plays 0 defense, is even softer then Love, and is a choke in the playoffs.

He's been a plus defender all year. He's defending at a higher level than Mozgov. I mean, if you're to try to attempt to be the new negative nancy of the board, can you please get your facts at least straight.

Apples to oranges. Antwan was asked to be an all star caliber/second best player. If this trade doesn't work out, it's not going to break the team and the Cavs are back to having a big sit on the bench unlike the Jamison trade.

It was still a one man team full of trash. This team is way more talented.. Leagues better.

I wouldn't say that at all. The team was perfectly constructed, and well constructed, to play off LeBron. It was not a bad team at all, a pretty talented team with the perfect complement of role players. It just was never going to be good enough to win a title is all. That doesn't mean the team was complete trash.

Well, I would say that the previous model of "superstar + perfect complementary role players" has lost (in the NBA) to the "big three" model. Now we are firmly a "big three" model team, which means that we should be completing ourselves with the correct role players.

Seems no matter what the Cavs do, a handful just have to jump off a ledge..wait..thats not such a bad thing..maybe they won't be back.
