The Guardian?

I kind of had Chris pegged for a Telegraph kind of guy. :chuckle:

For as ghastly as Curry's outside shot was tonight, LeBron's was bloody conflagratory.

And that is how Steve Kerr's night went to pot.

What do I get for using the word conflagratory for the first time in the history of the internet?

You get 5 minutes of combined internet search from all viewers of this topic.
That comes up to one hour of time we will never get back.

I was going to be clever and list some common words that are spelled differently in the UK like favourite vs favorite. Then I realized (or is it realised?) that there were so many, that I decided to leave this here:

And many more. I´m from Spain and I am studying English and the teacher always tell us that LIFT is for UK english and ELEVATOR, for instance, is more used in USA.

Can you confirm this or you use the same word?

Confirmed

We also use the phrase "fuck off" instead of "thank you, officer."

Try it and let us know what happens.

Fixed it for you. :D

I'm assuming the guardian wants overall recaps of the game with only a small amount of editorial comment? How hard will you find it @Chris Parker to stay objective and balanced between both teams?

"The Cavaliers' offense was as graceful and magnificent as their namesakes from 400 years ago whereas the prancing perfumed ponces known as the Golden State Wankers lied, cheated and played dirtier than a Bad Boy Yardie at a Pikey convention."

Dont forget to dress the part for Game 1...

Well part of what I'm doing with the Scene is filling a needed niche with hopefully a tad of flair.

I've written news and doing that is a bit boring but I think the British actually write with a bit of flair to begin with so I'm hoping that won't be a big deal. Objectivity isn't so hard, I'm describing not rooting. Chris Fedor aside, I recognize the difference. (And again, I defy anyone to remain seated while a fellow bury's a halfcourt falling away out of bounds jumper with a hand in face at the buzzer and not be moved. had Curry hit it I would've probably stood as well, to let my jaw hit the floor.)

Chris

i think a question about controlling the pace is definitely the way to go. Something like "The cavs have found a wining formula by controlling the pace of the games in the playoffs. How much of that is due to specific gameplan decisions and how much of it is just a testimony to the team relentless effort on the glass"

I would also like to hear his thoughts about attacking mismatches "Do you believe it is always right to attack a mismatch or do you prefer teams to stay within their continuity and players in theri familiar roles

Adam two great questions. Next thing I ask Blatt will be about pace. I was on the WorthyoftheJersey Podcast with Tim Smith and Eric Flannery two really knowledgeable guys and he spoke a little bit how mismatches will take a team out of what it is doing and can upset the rhythm Klay and Curry mught've gotten going. May try to follow up on that with Blatt but not sure how thorough he'd be in speaking about it if you know what I mean
