I honestly don't know what the hell Miles is thinking sometimes. He seems to forget he has 4 teammates out there with him.
I didn't expect a lot but and didn't get to see him a ton in Utah but he couldn't have been this consistently bad for them to keep him for 7 seasons.
At this point he needs to take a seat on the bench until he decides he wants to play like he has a clue. I'd rather see Casspi get these minutes for a while.

My favorite moment in the game was when Andy caught the ball at the free throw line, saw CJ out of the corner of his eye calling for the ball, started to turn to pass it to him, then realized it was CJ fucking Miles and passed it back out to Waiters.

Do you know how bad you have to be to have a coach say this out loud? Especially when the only other wing player on the bench is Omri Casspi?

Miles is pressing and generally playing awful. However, Scott is really hanging him out to dry by only running him with that garbage bench brigade. You have no creators. No post threat. Nobody gets good looks and Miles is the one trying to be the guy. He's clearly not and just digging the hole deeper for himself. He needs to get some minutes with some of the starters to take the pressure off and let him get back into the game.
If he keeps running exclusively with Sloan, Gibson and Samardo, he is going to look terrible all season.

Problem is Gee generally does a nice job on the defensive end to cover up for our back court (especially Kyrie). Miles provides little to none of that. That, and he sucks balls.

But he got run tonight with Thompson and Waiters and when Waiters was in the game is when Miles decided to play hero ball. He's just got an awful basketball IQ.
Also, when he's the worst member of the garbage bench brigade, it's hard to say that the problem is the other guys and not him. Like when parents say their kids just hang with the wrong crowd. No, your kid IS the wrong crowd.

Thompson does nothing offensively so playing with him is rather meaningless. He got a few minutes with Waiters, but basically nothing with Irving and Andy who are the two best players on the team. The guy has been absolutely dreadful, but when you know a guy is pressing, the goal should be to get him to relax. He's not going to be able to do that with the current units he is running with. If they want to remove him from the rotation entirely, that's fine. If they are going to keep playing him, it's clear something needs to be changed.

- Miles averages eight shots per night, but only makes around 2.2 of them.
- Miles averages 3.8 three points shots per night, but only makes one of them.
- Miles has not shot ONE free throw this season.
- Miles is shooting .275% from the field and .263% from three point land, two numbers comparable to Luke Harangody from last year.
Also, when we really needed him against Golden State the other day, he proceeded to jack up seven three pointers, make none of them, and shoot 3-11 from the floor while gathering five fouls... in seventeen minutes.

Tanking at it's finest. I fully suspect that Scott will soon put CJ in the starting line-up and give him a full 36 minutes per game.

There's just no way to not tank with this bench. They take CJ out of the rotation and give Sloan and Casspi more minutes, and that will look like full on tanking too. It's just....sad. But, still, Miles is the worst.

He played with Waiters and either TT or AV in the second half and he continued to suck. I don't remember him being so awful when I watched Utah over the years: he seems to be much more of a chucker with the Cavs. Watching Miles now makes me think more highly of Jerry Sloan
