It was mentioned during the Senior Bowl practice today that Pettine would have his 2nd interview 2nite with Browns. Nothing was mentioned about the Fantastic Four being there. Quite telling indeed.

Why does Andy Reid deserve crediting for going after Alex Smith? Do I have proof? No. But I would almost guarantee any HC going into KC would've asked to trade for him.

To say the least. Despite what's reported, they need a man in the building and signed by the weekend. Senior Bowl is the unofficial start of the offseason.

...dude they agreed to the deal two weeks before the new league year even started. Thats only a few weeks after they had lost in the Super Bowl. It happened, basically, immediately. Jags, Browns, Jets and Cardinals were all linked.

Any Reid didn't go find some sort of diamond in the rough.

If they like what they hear, they better offer and not beat around the bush. In a report on NFL.com, some close to Pettine say he wants this job "badly". If a guy really wants this job, bring his ass in.
