Cleveland Indians End of Season Game Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
7 weeks is fast after a sports hernia surgery? That's very slow actually for that kind of surgery. Anyway, that's not why he was out for so long. His knee was the reason it was over 6 weeks. Just a FYI.

Kipnis had a torn obligue muscle and a pulled hamstring. The bad oblique is not a good thing for anyone.

I'm anxious to see when and how well Sizemore does the rest of the season.

And NO; the Indians are the dummest team going if they pay the guy 8.5 million next year. Either we redo his salary for one year that is based on incentives, or we say bye-bye to him.

I'm on board with this. I want to see how he plays the remainder of this season. Is he limping or favoring his knee? Can he regain his stroke at the plate in a reasonable amount? Does he get re-injured?

Sizemore is one of several big decisions facing the FO this off-season. For the record, his salary next season will be $9M if they pick up his option. He gains $.5M because he made the 2008 All Star team. That was written in to his contract.

I like you Doug but this is how I envisioned your post.

6'1". 197lbs. Decent shape for a 53 year old. Thank you very much. :)

Physically perhaps...not so much mentally.

So you are not just Mr. Know-it-all b00bie, but are also Doctor b00bie as well?

Why am I not surprised?

and btw; I doubt anyone thinks you are funny. You use to be in here. Not anymore.

Says the guy diagnosing Grady's sports hernia surgery recovery time.

Says the guy diagnosing Grady's sports hernia surgery recovery time.

Actually no; go to reputable med/health sites and they will tell you the same damn thing.

Sports hernia = Not a full tear of the stomach lining. Intestine has not started coming through yet. If surgery is opted for the recovery time is anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks... full recovery.

Regular hernia - A full tear of the stomach lining. Intestine has gone through the lining and has to be pushed back in during surgery. Lining has to be repaired, etc. Recovery varies, but is usually 4 to 6 weeks.

In either case the patient is up and walking the day after surgery.

I've had a double regular hernia op. Intestine was through on both sides of my stomach. This was 20 years ago. I was up and walking the day after.

Say what you wish boobsb00bies. I know of what I speak about this. Sizemore's delay was because of his knee. Period. Hell, ask him. You have access, right? Ask him.

An NBA player last season for a playoff team had a sports hernia. He was playing again within 2 weeks. I can't remember who the fuck it was. Members in here might remember.

He probably wasn't up and walking, he's got a bad knee.

That knee was the reason he was out so long.

Like I said...

It's great to see Chis starting to hit. It's even better to see his last 2 HR's against Lefties.

In my opinion the two best swings on the team are the product of Kipnis and Chisenhall. VERY nice, short swings.

Glad I came back in time from playing Zombies to see that absolute bomb.

Chis does it again! 4 RBI's!

Maybe someone who has been watching from the beginning can tell me why we are playing the Green Sox.

Damn. Where have these bats been?

Chis all the sudden loves curve balls. Wow.

Fukudome needs to stay in Cleveland next year.

I think they said something about a salute to St. Patty's Day or something like that. I was only half paying attention.
