I’d only trade Collin in a draft day swap if it meant getting Zion. Beyond that, the Cavs have completely exceeded expectations on a #8 draft slot and should be very careful what they do with that new found asset value. I don’t think another swing at a prospect would be a wise use of that asset surplus......if they could trade it for a more certain outcome (Zion or a young AS) sure.

At this point, I think Collin has played himself in to a position where he should be, at minimum, given consideration when making our next selection. Not necessarily built around yet but Morant makes less sense seeing Collin’s sustained scoring and efficiency improvement. Thankfully, the available players on the wing are relatively good matches from a skill set standpoint, given their defensive versatility and complimentary playmaking skills.
woukd not trade Colin at all. Has not reached his ceiling yet
Let’s see Zion playing with men instead of boys

Lol, you wouldn't trade Sexton for Zion? that's utterly insane.

Zion will dominate NBA players with his physicality the same way.

even if I would whoever has number 1 will not. Zion to me looks like a knee blow out waiting to happen. Just my opinion. Certainly would like to have him But I do not see him dominating bigs in the nba right away

We will see. The guy will punish any switch down low and any big on the perimeter.

In the NBA he will only have to deal with one big defender in the halfcourt and he will dominate that matchup. Spread floor with only 1 defender to beat? pls.

Zion has amazing quickness. Has to be quicker than anyone I've seen for his size. Both sides of floor and getting off it too.

Zion looks like a amazing ride for a number of years, then a sharp fall off. Barrett reminds me of somebody who needs some work like all Frosh, but will grow and be a valuable player at 30+.

If the Cavs get Zion, they need to push for a title asap.

Clearly Sexton can score.

I think his floor is Jordan Clarkson and his ceiling is either C.J. McCollum (at SG) or Dame Lillard at (PG). The good sign is he has already shown a lot of improvement. The bad thing, is that it appears he improved his shooting by working hard, mostly on his own (perhaps not true?). It will be hard to for him to improve his playmaking and defense without help from the coaching staff and teammates.

His growth is going to based on not screwing up the next coaching hire. They need a staff that can teach.

Well, It''s embarrassing to watch Clarkson and Knight ignore him on offense and take away possessions from him. Heck, Nance too, that prick.

We will see next year, but I suspect that he is going to be a much better playmaker next season.

the crazy thing is, he has already surpassed them in value. He's gonna be one of the go-to guys on the team, they may as well accept the fact.

A lot of jealousy on this team. Even coming from Cedi.

Just demonstrates the overall lack of leadership on this team. In Cedi's defense, he went through a similar experience as Sexton only his ordeal was a bit more toned down compared to the open admonishment of Sexton early on in the season. The "vets" weren't happy with their role and felt Cedi's new role was undeserved. Go figure.

SIAP, but good analysis here:

I know he struggled earlier, but hard to believe that he was in the same tier as, gasp, Anthony Bennett. :)

What do you see as a "number of years" ? Is this because of his injury history?

LeBron level longevities are unheard of, but Steph was supposed to be injury-prone and hasn't really declined at the rate people expected.

Speaking of which, yes, in spite of everything, if the prodigal son wants to come crawling back again in a few years, I maintain that he would be a good supplemental piece to "push for a title" given that you want to make every move possible to open that window.
