Dan Gilbert Statement

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Gotta love Dan Gilbert. I can't wait to hear what will be released. I think we will hear about the phantom elbow injury. I still stand by the fact that he conjured up the elbow to get out of Cleveland. It would have been harder to leave the further we went into the playoffs.

FUCK YES! That got me pumped up. I hear you loud and clear Mr Gilbert. I'm behind you all the way. Cavs fan before Lebron and Cavs fan after him.

Slow down on the praise and worship of Gilbert.

He is known to be a talker and saying what people want to hear.

Wait and see what he actually does to make us a Championship caliber team.

Until that happens he is just full of it like he has always been.

He's just a talker? You can say he didn't make the right moves, but you can't say he wasn't aggressive all the way.

If that's really him, then I respect the hell out of what he's saying.

Regardless, since I found out about Dan Gilbert he's always been a hero of sorts. It's much more important to have heroes like him than it is to have heroes like LeBron James.

Very few are born with the athletic gifts that a child like LeBron has. Just as few have the balls, intelligence and business savvy to do what Gilbert's been doing his entire life. I've always liked Dan Gilbert a lot.

I hope that he can prove himself right, but in any case...I appreciate the sentiment. Don't care what anyone says, LeBron DOES deserve to be trashed. Not because he switched teams, but because he did it like an ungrateful, egotistical asshole.

If that's Gilbert...then he called him out, and that's exactly what he deserves.

Good lord... I can't help but wonder how much stuff about LBJ is going to come out now. Little nuggets that locals have held in because he was such a beloved, hometown kid.

Damn.
I tend to question the hearts of most billionaires. I usually do.

But what I just read in his statement is simply phenomenal. Inspiring.
What he said goes beyond basketball, if you ask me.
This is about honor and respect, amidst having power--financial or otherwise.
I sincerely hope Dan Gilbert acts with clear forethought amidst his obvious vexation.

Regardless, I feel this. Fully.
I'm down. Let's get it.

...the fact is, that if he signed with us we very well may have been planning to trade him before the ink had dried.

I know he can't hear me, but I am clapping for an owner of a sports team at my computer.

I am depressed but Gilbert's statement really put a smile on my face. We may struggle but this guy will not let us down in the end.

Good God. I believe that Dan Gilbert is about to take down the veil that has been protecting Lebron James.....

Personally, I wish this would have come right after the playoffs, when the stench was still fresh ...the fact is, that if he signed with us we very well may have been planning to trade him before the ink had dried.
Wow.

That's a bombshell. Would have traded him as an ultimate f u for something LBJ did.

I seriously hope Gilbert does spill it.

Your initial post after game 6 was right on. DEAD on.
