Is he signed on to coach anyone in FIBA or the Olympics? I know he had several times before, I just didn't know if he was still involved in it.

Not a story, but it's fun to watch:

I love his intensity. I just hope LeBron handles the challenge well similar to Pops/Duncan.

Just a concern. Blatt is an actual coach. Most of what LeBron has had were pushovers who kissed his ass. He seemed to love playing for Coach K in the Olympics though...

Did Coach K really have to dig down and get tough with those guys though?

They were the redeem team--it was taken very seriously leading back to 2008 when USA was coming off of failures. You can't take the "coach" out of Coach K. I'm sure he was dialed back at times, but you can be certain he lit into them. Absolutely.

Loved Keith Dambrot, too. I think he's MISSED a Keith Dambrot...

I wouldn't classify Spoelstra as a pushover. Certainly a weird guy, but a good coach and not a pushover. However, Pat Riley wouldn't fire him even if LeBron wanted it.

That's an interesting point.

I hope LeBron is mature enough to corporate with Blatt. I hope even more that players won't take personally his attitude and perfectionism, some players tend to take it hard, specialy when they don't get minutes and chances.
And in that prospective, Blatt does not give minutes to players as a gift - only players who put a real effort on the defensive end and play as a team will get minutes and chances to prove themselves.
That is another thing that some players have hard time to get used to.

Ohh, and don't be surprised to see Blatt getting technical fouls.
Most of the time he gets technical fouls unintentionally because he is so passionate and he can't hold himself and he yells something to the referees.
But there are times which I feel he uses it as a wake-up call or for a momentum shift for his player - seeing your coach so ecstatic can sometimes bring fresh winds to the players and to their game.

I caught some of the interview on NBAtv. I'm sure it posted but I'm in love him. They asked about the differences in Euroleague and NBA were that he'll need to work on. First thing was about using timeouts, giving them their breaks etc...not sure how the differs from euroleague. Then he was talking about the 3 point line. How to use the extra space and how it gives all different angles to the game. I was in a rush to get to the gym so I was in and out of the room. Oh and how the stretch four is alot similar to how they use them in europe. He said smitty would be perfect in his offense. Then made a bad joke about Grant Hill that I didn't catch/understand. He couldn't talk about the kevin love things. I couldn't be happier with him!

The thing I got from the interview was when they brought up Wiggins and Bennett he seemed to have to catch himself from talking about them in past tense like a deal is done. Also when he said "Well Andrew is gonna be a stud in this league and I'm happy for him and I really think he has the ability to be a tremendous player in this league" That just reads to me as a coach who knows he has all the talent in the world but isn't ready. That he'll be happy developing and leading his own team in Minnesota. Just to many things are falling into place to ignore it. From Love withdrawing to reports of Love asking to be traded to Cleveland. Blatt taking notes while watching Love and Irving lol...

What he said about wiggins was just being cautious IMO, not nearly enough to read into. Also, Love wasnt even there, he said he was taking notes on Coach K

My bad about the notes thing dunno what I was thinking. But I do think something has been agreed upon with Love backing out and all the other tea leaves.

Love withdrew from the usab roster because of the trade speculation.

Edit: nevermind, pie noticed it first.
