David Blatt is a former NBA coach

I wonder how long it will take the team roster to respect him and his coaching ability. Sure he is a veteran guy but not in the NBA. I bet everyone follows LBJ's stance and once LBJ is fully enthralled (he used to interject with Spo in Miami during certain plays, which was welcomed), everyone will follow suite.

Windhoagie blurted out on ESPN that it took Blatt a month to meet with LeBron and that if he was Calipari the meeting would've happened right away.

I'm at my limits with his negativity.

He's just trying to stay relevant. The guy is a joke.

There might not be a single better offseason in the history of the NBA. Everything has gone, and is seeming to continue to go, in the Cavs direction.

Windhorst is actually one of the best spoken who has the most well thought out reporting of any reporter I see on ESPN. He ran circles around Marc Stein during the early stages of LeBron's decision and came off as someone in the know. Marc seemed dumbfounded next to him trying to comment on the situation.

I feel that Windhorst has been a puppet for LeBron and all the speculation on his part the last few years were directly from LeBron's camp to sidetrack everybody that this wasn't happening. Including Brian himself.

I think he's been on top of his game and pretty impressive outshining other ESPN reporters, even when he was off. I really don't see the hate for the guy. Kinda proud of him actually.

Coming from the most negative poster on this site, your post makes complete sense.

were talking about windhorst post lebrons return.

He has costantly taken pot shots.. Blatt wasnt a top choice for the Cavs, James blew off their first meetings, etc.
now windhorst doesnt actually say those things but their certainly implied in his actual reported.

Windy appears to be circling the cavs like a shark just waiting for the first blood to spill imo

There are a ton of reporters circling for first blood right now. It comes with being the lead dog. But Windy still loves the Cavs, even if he would be the guy in position to see any misteps first.

He's been in position to break a lot of embarassing stories in the past and hasn't. I don't think that's changed.

How is saying Blatt wasn't the Cavs first choice a pot shot? It's a fact, he wasn't.

And it's not a black mark on the Cavs or Blatt. Sometimes you don't get your top guy. I don't think the Cavs or Blatt really care about that right now

Blatt was interviewed for around 12 minutes after practice today, and a lot of the questions came from different voices who had some decent basketball questions to ask. A pleasure to listen to that, even though I hope he cuts down the time he spends for his own sake. I figure they are in publicity mode right now.

context . thats how

he keeps repeating it. we all know other candidates had opportunities to take the jobs but to keep reiterating the point and spur articles about bill self. find some new to report instead of rehashing something you yourself agree doesn't mean much

Today's "David Blatt Quote of The Day" goes to:

"The great John Wooden once said - and I've always ascribed to this - it's what you learn after you already know everything that counts. And I'm learning every day it's great; I love it."

Mentally challenging for lebron? i thought he was bball einstein? Hopefully its jsuts because it involves movement off the ball. Miami made him stand in the corner alot when wade had the ball
