16? She looks older than her 22-year-old sisters.

Congrats, David, beautiful fam.

And understand why you are stateside while they remain in the mother country. As a father of twenty and 17 year old girls, coaching Cavs likely far less maddening.

I was pretty sure for awhile there that I was going to have to delete a bunch of posts. :chuckle:

Blatt did just fine in his first playoff game if the prime topic of conversation has to do with his kids.

Anyone have a sense of whether the Cavs are spending any time game planning for Round 2 or Round 3, or if they are all in on Round 1 at this time. Another argument is that sweeping Round 1 gives them all the time they need for the next round. Just curious.

Well, to further this age discussion, Ela turned 16 sometime before August 1st of last year. Linked Getty image from that date lists her at 16.

Hot daughters. He looks weird in street clothes.

He has a skinny arms Rob Lowe thing going on....

Carrying on from that. My thoughts would be based on how griff and blatt both are to the press its one step at a time for the players and probably the coaching staff, but you can bet griff has his scouts at the bulls games and his analytics breaking down all the potential opponents traits. I think the team needs to just follow the process, take each game at a time *insert cliche of personal choice*

Blatt did a good job, kept faith with shump (although he had little choice). I think one thing he needs to mention in practice is that the role players need to be willing to make plays. There was a god aweful possession in the third where delly spent about 15 seconds trying to get the ball to lebron. Everyone is going to try and stop that so go to the second option to release pressure then rotate the ball. They figured it out but it exposed a weakness..now teams will jump all over delly when he brings the ball up

Blatt did do a good job.
I do think he's going to need to use more of the bigs to keep the Celts bigs off the glass from penetration.
Usually teams do scout their potiential next round opponent but how heavily I don't know.
One things that bugs me is that backup PG spot. That needs upgrading in the future. I know it can't be done now.

I may be wrong, but I believe that I remembered reading that one of the assistants draws the task of scouting and creating an initial game plan vs the (potential) next round opponent. Then, when it's set in stone, he takes his initial findings to the rest of the staff and they all get to work together.

Jesus Christ. Grow up and leave the man's family alone.

Awkward first half, but Blatt turned it around in the second. I think Stevens went to hack a TT in order to get into Blatt's head and make him take TT out, knowing he likes TT to finish games. Really impressive move. Should be interesting to see what Blatt does in game two - is he proactive or reactive?

Still a really basic offense with too much standing around and waiting for Lebron to do something. I thought he would have learned his lesson by now. Seeing the defense played by GSW, HOU and LAC (I missed the CHI game, so they are probably here as well) really concerns me if we do not start moving and playing like a team. This iso-freelance offense is just not going to cut it in later rounds.

Yeah, and its not exactly the image you'd like media types to have of this place either.

It's a desperation tactic, so I'd keep doing what we've been doing and see if they want to try that again. Make TT miss before changing anything.

I'm hoping it was a bit more opening game jitters where other guys were deferring to/watching LBJ too much. More standing around than usual.

Blatt's former team, Maccabi, is playing in the Euroleague playoffs tonight trailing 2-0 in a best of 5 series.
A comeback from a 2-0 situation has never been done.

They are playing in Tel Aviv and the crowd noise is unreal. You can barely hear the whistles on the court.

Well, actually the Clippers won their game against the Spurs with only 16 assists. So I think the tactic depends on the opponent. GSW also started relying more on Curry, so they have fewer assists in the last games than usual (24 in the last ten)
