I know they both said nice things about Blatt but this just makes me love Kyrie even more lol. Not to say LBJ isn't on Blatt's side or some nonsense like that, but from his quote Kyrie sounds a lot closer to him.

Well, part of the reason Kyrie signed his contract immediately was because he met with Blatt and Lue and believed in the direction they were going to take the team. He's also playing the best basketball of his career right now on his first winning team. I'm not surprised that he's in full support of Blatt.

They just said the PC words nothing more or less. note the word Rookie in (learning, first stint) it speaks to the truth.

If they are not impressed (add your adjective) why should we be ?

I question how well he even knows his own players. why ?
K Love has had.. lets say some trouble finding his place/role. if he had watched or just read reports on him. he is one of the league's better passers out of the high post,
he should have added plays with him running some high post offense, to get him into it....... have we seen this ?

No. To everything.

Count me as one less person having to read your hack troll attempts. Welcome to the ignore list!

That is so true, i remember he signed the ext within minutes i was surprised. Funny thing was rumors were floating we were trying to trade him blah blah. Its just shows you the media sucks and im glad irving is on the cavs.

Hey guys. Thought you might be Interested to hear David Blatt giving an Interview to the Israeli press while the All Star was happening in the states. I didn't sleep for 2 days and my English isn't that good anyways so please bare with me. Also, I did cut some bs talking that I didn't find important.
Q: You are on a great streak. 5th in the East, the team looks great and the fans reacts well
(he also notes the fuzz going on in Israel about Cle). How much does it make you happy seeing your basketball on the court?
A: We started ok, then we got on a tough stretch missing LeBron for 8-10 games. We made some necessary changes to the roster, and by the time that everyone got together (including LeBron) we found our way. You can say we found each other, and this changes gives many hopes for the future to come.
Q: Was the criticism by the press hard for you to take? or are you that exp with those kind of things?
A: (Smiles) - I think I am exp enough in those fields. Listen - Its part of the business, I was never intimidated by it.
Q: Both Kyrie and LeBron praised you in the interviews we did with them in NY (Mostly warm words by Kyire) What do you think about that?
A: The most important thing LeBron said was in the end, that he believes in our skill to achieve accomplishments. I hope its gonna be this year, and if not then next year. It takes time to build a winning team, in the NBA, or anywhere else. We have very skilled and talented personal and we are working great together.

The Interview continued with some All Starr BS and Maccabi Basketball. If anyone here want to work on their Hebrew you are more then welcome. Cheers:

This is pretty small in the grand scheme of whats going on but I just saw this and thought it could potentially be worth keeping an eye on:

Dan Shamir has been relieved as head coach of Hapoel Eilat, team confirms.

Shamir was a trusted ass't to Blatt for some of his MTA as well as the Russian squad, as well as an analytics whiz and advanced scout. I wonder if Blatt would go to Griffin/Gilbert and see if they can bring Shamir on for a small off the court role doing something like advance scouting of all the potential teams we could face in the playoffs. I know we already have guys who do this, but this is a guy who knows Blatt well and could probably provide some great insight. It's really a role that could probably be done without the guy even having to come to the states.

As far as i know, Shamir was Blatt's assistant coach only one season, 2008-09 with Dynamo Moscow, and not with the Russian national team.
He was a second assistant coach alongside Blatt as the first assistant coach in MTA in 2003-04.
I don't know the nature of their relationship today, but i don't think such a move will take place, and i think that the talks about him at the beggining of the season were just pure speculations and rumors by reporters.

Kyrie Irving gave an interview to a russian newspaper and there was a question about David Blatt (google translation):

What can you say about David Blatt? Status of an NBA rookie coach cause him some problems?

- Newbie or not - what's the difference? The main thing is that the coach is confident in his ideas. In this regard, I am completely satisfied with Blatt. Even when Cavs were criticized from all sides by the journalists, he did not change his principles, continued to work in the same direction and wait for the result.

Anyway, Blatt is great guy! I think it is noticeable from outside that we are not just winning, but also enjoy the process.

Blatt is looking more and more comfortable out there, firmly in control. It would be nice to see him sneak Marion and Miller/Jones in there to keep everyone's minutes down, but I'm liking the rotations and the team is looking damn good.

How good? The Cavs won by 38 on the road. That's the biggest win on the road this year.

In the last 68 years, a team has won on the road against a team that's 10 games+ over .500 by 38+ only three times:

NOH over ATL in 2011 (won by 41)
BOS over DEN in 2009 (won by 38)

Cavs over Wiz tonight.

If you look at teams that were .600+, it's been done 6 times in 68 years. If you look at 30+ point wins against teams 10 games over .500 or better, you'll only find a handful more. In total, road teams have won by 38+ points only 68 times total, so about once a year. Most of those wins are against the dregs of the league, expansion team, etc.
