- In the second half we got greedy on defense. Praises the players for leaving everything out on the floor on D. "Good for our guys!"

- James Jones is a seasoned pro, always ready. He can play a game, then not play 3 games, even sit a week or two, but he's gonna be ready when you put him out there. He has given us a great deal the last three games. Says he's a leader in the locker room in terms of how we want to approach the game.

- Some schmuck asks him "How do you like LeBron?" and coach says "Well, I always like him". Goes on to praise his ability and understanding of the game.

- Annoyed that nobody asks about Love and only adress him when he doesn't play well. Says this should be one of the first questions. Praises Kevin, says he's had another terrific all around game.

- Congragulates Bron for his record. Mentions that Joe Harris sang Happy Birthday to him when he turned 30 :D

- It was a good win because we had to do something that we didn't do for quite some time.

- Although it was a good win, the team STILL has ways to go.

Last night, as i began to grow worried about how long Blatt was sticking with the (correct me if i'm wrong) Delly, Shump, James, Jones, Thompson lineup in the 3rd/4th quarter something struck me. I realized that i genuinely felt that the head coach knew what he was doing, and that i completely trusted his judgement.

I don't know if i have ever felt that way about a cavs coach in the last 10+ years

would definitely enjoy a breakdown on Blatts effect right now because it seems that the machine is moving on its own right now

And thats great, but i know for a fact that hes doing SOMETHING

Happy to be wrong about this dude mid season. Starting to become who I thought he'd be when the season started and then some.

Once again David Blatt's adjustments on defense won the game for the Cavs.

Spectacular defense in the 2nd half running the Warriors away from the 3pt line. Kerr simply had no answer for that, and the Cavs just ran with the game from the get-go of the 2nd half.

Both this and the Pistons games, Blatt really showing he is a premier coach in this league in terms of in-game and half-time adjustments - specifically defensively.

Blast's greatness will be measured, in my opinion, by a single metric: the degree to which he gets this team to buy into ball movement as the central component of their offense. They won tonight due to their defensive prowess (a hat tip to him) and isolation play.

The players need to buy into the idea of isolation OFF BALL MOVEMENT is superior to traditional isolation. Blast's long-term goal should be to encourage ball movement that leads to momentary isolation. While Kyrie and LeBron are amazing in traditional isolation play, they are practically unstoppable when receiving the ball in isolation situations off movement.

This is the sort of thing that will take time. There will be setbacks, relapses if you will. But, over the next 14 months, Blatt needs to make this his primary goal. If this team embraces the idea of isolation off ball movement, it's game-set-match for the rest of the league.

Probably the best coached game Blatt had since he landed in CLE.

Close to perfect coaching. Handling the energy and momentums well, changing up on D to better suit their attacks and we've seen some beautiful new sets too.

Totally agree. There wasn't a single time I thought he had a bad rotation. Even when he had Love at the 5 spot, it was against David Lee. Called smart timeouts too. Even if we lost, it wouldn't have been on Blatt.

^ Couldn't have said it better.

Watching the Warriors play on offense was just such a joy, specifically in the first half. They were carving us up at will, it seemed all they needed was to set a high PNR play and the passing and movement will either get them a wide open barely contested 3, or an easy bucket within 5 feet of the basket.

If this team buys into the type of ball movement, spacing and player movement off the ball in sync with eachother at even 70% of what this Warriors team showed in the first half - it would be extremely difficult for anyone else to take the Larry O'Brien trophy.

When LeBron is playing and shooting so well, it does sort of lend to more ISO than in most games. I thought overall our ball movement was good. It was clear when their were trips down the court when plays were being called and when ISO was being called. Blatt has said all along that he would implement a hybrid of his system and one that utilizes the incredible one on one abilities of LeBron and Kyrie.

Yes we can look at how beautiful the Warriors ball movement was, but at the same time the Warriors fans can look at this game and wish they had a player who in crunch time can just score regardless of what the defense is doing.
