Meanwhile Wiggins had another 20 point game that was only -2 in 41 minutes!! 8-18 shooting, 3-5 from 3, 7 boards, 4 assists, 1 steal. only 1 foul...damn
 
This pick, although highly protected, actually has some great value. Especially the next two seasons.

I was a big supporter of that trade but I know where you're coming from...last couple of weeks it's been kind of uncomfortable looking in the rear view mirror at that trade...since the Cavs game Wiggins averaging over 20 PPG, over 50% from the floor and over 40% from 3. (And yes I know it's pointless to look backwards and Love is a good player).

Are the wolves winning?? Imagine if if the trade didnt go down love might be on his way to another 26 and 12 season and wiggin might struggle hard with us and we woudve all bitched why didnt we do the trade. We will never be happy lol

The Wolves are shit and Wiggins isn't the defender nor ball handler to push the rock yet he will be in 2-3 years.

Put it this way, think how fun Kyrie/Dion as the ball handlers, Wiggins the 3/d big upside for more, Bennett the high flyer and trading TT/picks for a starting center with Zeller,Felix,Karasev still on the roster sounds over a aging Lebron and average Love. Dan Gilbert did it again.

You over reacting man we didnt win squat last year in the weakest ec weve ever seen what mad3 u think we would do something this year we would go prlly another 3 or 4 more years of mediocricy..imagine once this team click on all cylinders we are not done yet buddy just enjoy the ride is a big roller coaster
 
Why are people obsessed with Andrew Wiggins, and his 5 win shitty team. Do you miss the days of tanking, and being in the lottery every year?

Shit, things aren't perfect, but we're still a hell of a lot better than that team, and let's not seriously think if Andrew Wiggins was on the team, all our problems would be answered.

We'd be exactly where we were last year, and that's pretty damn bad.

To me, David Griffin has three phases of being evaluated as a GM over an approximate 1 year span

Phase 1: Don't get in the way. LeBron comes. Love deal is obivous. Let LeBron bring in Miller and Jones. Use your past connection to Marion to bring him on. I thik you have to simply look at the end result of phase one and grade it out as a winner

Phase 2 is the in season roster improvements: Did a 2 for 1 swap to add two contributors at SG who are equal or better fits than Dion was. Also managed to add the OKC pick which is very valuable in tandem with the trade exception. This phase is not done though as he still needs to add a center and also be tuned into the buyout market. But I see this as a good first move in Phase 2

Phase 3: Draft/Offseason/Trade market/FA

This is where Griffin needs to cement things. Use Haywood + a pick to add another legit interior defender. Use the taxpayer MLE to add a backup PG. Figure out what to do with Tristan.

I think he has a very good shot at nailing all three phases and I'm not comfortable grading him out until he has that opportunity.

And obviously, count me in the camp that says there is no way LeBron or Love bail this summer or next.

lets see, Lebron is on the physical decline and is a 32 minute player. Wiggins could have spelled him being the young chap he is........oh, might as well forget it, Lebron never wanted Wiggins to help him rest. Instead, he wanted LOVEEEEEEEEE!!!!
 
This was the best move Griffin has made, but it still strikes me as a panic move. For god sake can we just wait until the trade deadline for some of the moves?

After all of Griffins trades this year your always left pondering, did we give up too much? Could we have waited for more value?

I still don't feel comfortable with the guy going forward. He just strikes me as a guy Shaq would call "the master of panic"
