DeAndre Liggins Waived

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Liggins will earn a spot in the rotation if he keeps playing defense with this kind of effort and intensity. Once he feels like he belongs, he might gain more confidence on offense. It's the first positive development for the Cavs' bench all season. I'll take it.
If Liggins develops, Dunleavy emerges from his slumber and RJ reverts to last year form, then we may be onto something.

I still say we need to grab a cheap PG and would love a legit big man. We've been after Koufos for a long time, any chance we could snag him with Cedi + the odd asset or two? And assuming we could, WOULD we?

Yes we need a vet PG really bad. As we saw we kind of need the Liggins type for other roles.

I think they should start DeAndre for hustle and defense. He might help set the defensive Tone early in the Game. Live with a bit worse Offense for now and give JR all the Time he needs to get back to 100%

If JR is severely injured, this will force the front office to make a move for the right replacement. No way the cavs ride against GS with Durant sans JR...

You say that as if you were hoping it's something serious.

Loved what Liggins brought last night. He's like a SG version of Tristan. This guy is older than you would think with his NBA track record, but supposedly 3 and D guys sometimes take a while to develop. If they could have him really work hard on the outside shot, he could have a real future in the league.

He looks to me like a better defender than Shump right now. He doesn't have the same talent that shump has, he can't shump balls and generate as many steals, But he is a pretty damn good on ball defender, has length, decent rebounder and brings much needed intensity.

Kind of looking like the death knell for McRae. If only McRae could actually shoot accurately, there might be something there.

lmao

Whilst I think that he is not really an nba players do like his energy and defense. I also really liked that when he caught the ball and the defense were slow to react he wasn't afraid to drive and force a rotation before dishing. more than 2 or 3 shots from three from him a game would be a disaster
