DeMarcus Cousins-Kings drama

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Peja was Drafted in 1996, so let's see. And since you said All-Star Caliber I'll run under the premise that they could of made an all-star team under the right circumstances.

1999 - Jason Williams <-- Pretty sure he took the league by storm when he was a rookie and helped lead the teams with Webber to the Playoffs before Bibby.
2004 - Kevin Martin <-- In his prime was a top 10-15 scorer in the NBA despite being on the worst teams in Kings history, hey we didn't say they had to be a winner.
2009 - Tyreke Evans <-- Rookie Year showed he had the potential to be one. Regressed though, I'm only listing him because of his rookie year of 20,5,5
2010 - Demarcus Cousins <-- Love him or hate him, he's a supremely talented knucklehead.
2011 - Isaiah Thomas <-- Pretty sure your familiar with him since you played him last year in the playoffs. He plays his tail off for every inch he's worth.
Jwill was a great player that was traded for what led to be a key piece on great teams. Everyone else on that list is not conducive to winning. Kmart was a great scorer who has never amounted to anything while being a first, second, or third option,IDGAF about Tyreke's ROY campaign because hes been slightly better than average since, IT is a great 6th man but who cares when 4 of your starting 5 blow.

Pretty sure Demarcus Cousins made the All-Star Team last year, but you are correct otherwise. But I'd give Vlade a season before we call him an absolute disaster.

Only way I give Vlade another year is if he can acquire either a legitimate 2nd option, a high 1st, or fires Karl.

1 of the 3 needs to be done (preferably 2).

I love Boogie, hes probably my favorite non-cav, but hes a head case. Immaturity & lack of winning has exacerbated that. If hes winning, his head will be removed from his ass. Last year they got off to a solid start, and he seemed to have turned the corner, and until this last incident with Karl, I dont think hes been too much of a distraction.

....so no all stars outside of Cousins....

Not picking a fight, just frustrated bc I love Boogie & I love the Kings. That starting five should make the playoffs. Something needs to be done. They need a coach who will keep problems in house (& wont bad mouth to the media), and makes it work. Too much talent not to be winning.

Vivek is making this so much harder than it needs to be. The Kings should be a competitive team by now.

Fire Vlade for being an instigating dumbass. Trade Boogie for a haul. Tank for a top 3 pick. You'll be right back on track.

Lol NO

And I hope you don't actually believe that 3rd grade written article with so many holes.
Vlade isn't taking a vote in front of Karl to fire him this is the same guy who didn't fire Karl in the summer when Karl was acting like an ass. Article is a joke.

Also don't get the idiot talking heads who critised the Philly trade.
You take Rondo, Belinelli, and Koufos over landry, Jason Thompson and a phantom draft pick

in the east? maybe. the west? lol no.

edit: and not due to lack of coaching. give them pop and they still don't make the playoffs in the west (and he'd probably blow his brains out before the season even ended anyway).

I'd be happy with a 35-47 Season. I'm not even expecting playoffs honestly, just a sign of improvement.

I was expecting a terrible star due to schedule and after staring 2-6. I thought the national media would come out swing like they did. But Rondo is playing better than I imagined and the bottom of the west isn't lighting it up. 44wins can get the 8th seed

They could've used the stretch provision on Landry and Thompson and not overpaid Rondo, and still had Stauskas and their draft pick.

Man I think the Kings will regret not trading him at the deadline. The latest incident just kills the value you could have gotten for him. Has there ever been a more talented head case?

My mind went to other sports immediately: Barry Bonds and Ty Cobb for baseball, OJ Simpson and any number of psychopaths who played in the NFL.

True, I didn't think outside the context of basketball. I guess Rondo would be a fair comparison as well? All thought Cousins is more talented.

Its just so strange how he has handled this situation to me.

Maybe I'm just forgetting, but I don't ever remember Cousins being such a nightmare when he was at UK.

I think being in the right situation, with the right coach and right players around him, he could be okay. But man he's been crazy since getting to Sac-town.
