Destiny

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Of course they would join after I left. Thanks for your help guiding our group through though. I learned a ton about what to do and where to go. Watching videos helps, but not as much as actually doing it.

Can anyone who wants to attempt the VoG this week, please let me know so we can put something solid together?
I might not have been very good at explaining stuff, but I did try lol. Did you get any Raid gear? I remwmber someone did, but I didn't pay attwntion to who.

Yes, you helped a ton. I had trouble focusing with the two guys tormenting each other (and the one guy getting calls on his cell phone like 50x). He was my partner for the early stages of the Raid, which meant I was essentially functioning alone while trying to learn lol.

I received Pradeyth's Revenge, a void Sniper Rifle, it's got some nice perks. But it's the fifth void legendary sniper rifle I have. I also got Kabr's Forceful Greaves.

Well that's good, one step closer to level 30 then. The phone calls were hilarious. The worlds most popular 14 year old lol.

That was fun for my first time. Thanks Mdog. I pictured that kid as Corey for some reason. I felt bad because my wife fell asleep right when she got home from class. I tried to jump back on but everyone had gone out right before. I ended up doing the raid with another group afterwards and we all got booted when we got to Atheon so I went to bed. I'll be down to do the raid again either next Monday or maybe a day this week if I get a chance. I got the Forceful Greaves as well so hopefully those will be leveled up and I'll get a better primary weapon. Now that I understand how the raid works I can be more effective and we should be able to burn through it.

I was wondering what happened. We just called it quits and went to bed.

Ive stilled yet to beat the last boss. Im hoping to I can finally beat it this week.

Wait there were more RCFers? I thought it was just me and Gymbo lol. Well damn I'm glad guys. Free most nights, so let me know.

My exotic weapon whoring continues - got 2 today. Bad Juju and Gjallarhorn. That brings me to 6 and counting :D

So the Destiny "expansion," The Dark Below, is set to release on December 9th and contains a pretty insulting amount of content given the twenty dollar price tag:
  • 1 raid, Crota's End.
  • 2 strikes for PS4 players, 1 for Xbots.
  • 3 story missions, all of which are Hive-centered and on the moon.
  • 3 multiplayer maps.
  • Light cap raised to 32.
  • New weapons and armor.
No doubt in my mind that all of this was cut out from the retail game to be sold back to players as DLC. Calling it an expansion is in and of itself a bit of a joke given that it doesn't actually expand to anywhere other than a planet we've already been to.

In case you're wondering, Xbone players don't get a discount. They pay the same and get one less strike.

Yeah that strike will eventually come out for Xbox like a year later or something. I'm over Destiny. I'll be damned if I keep playing 1/3 of the game that beta testers got to play a year ago. No story, nothing to do. Great job Activistion and Bungie for ruining the most hyped game of all time.

Yeah the exclusivity lasts until Fall 2015. But will anyone still be playing Destiny by then? I'm already pretty much over it. There's just not enough to do and what's there isn't terribly interesting. If I'm going to do the same thing a billion times, I'd rather just go play some more Dustbowl on Team Fortress 2. At least there's some gameplay variety there in the form of nine classes and weapon differences that actually matter.

Yup, I only have time to play it casually and I'm already bored as fuck with it. I've run the raid 5 times, have not gotten one piece of raid gear. So I've pretty much just said fuck it, it's not worth it anymore. Can't ever get a decent team together. Last group had a guy run ahead to every chest and open them himself. That was the final straw with me. I stopped trying to raid. I'll just play PvZ:GW. It's repetitive but at least it's fun.

Sadly, I'm not even surprised in the least by this. Bungie continues to drop the ball. A slight raise to the light cap, a couple of maps, a couple of missions... all of which were included in the original game.

Wake me up when they give us Raid matchmaking and don't make it so absurdly difficult to level up to 30. Some of us don't have hours and hours to dedicate to this game. It's strange, because this game was stripped down to appeal to a more casual gamer base, but they've pretty much only been playing to the needs of those who spend a ton of time on the game.
