Destiny

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Im good for Saturday and Monday this week.

Im almost lvl 3 in the iron banner with my hunter so I will have two characters to run with as well.
btw, the iron banners gear has 30 light so if you can get to lvl 3, you can knock boots and gloves off your list.
I still need the chest piece from the raid so this doesn't help my warlock at all.
Is it only level 3? I thought it was 4. This new development is exciting. I was thinking I would only be able to get one to level 4, might be able to get both.

Its level 3 for one and level 4 for the other, though I forget which is which.

I just played 2 Iron Banner games and went a combined 47-7. That bumped me from the top 6% to the top 5% on PSN for K/D ratio. PvP in this game is so fun, I wish some of you guys were into it more. I'll gladly help you guys grind rep for Iron Banner if I'm online when you want to play, its much quicker when you win most of your games and I typically do.

Boots are lvl 3 and gloves are level 4. I know because i need tbe gloves. I'm better at PvP but am not a huge fan, but have been all in on the iron banner event to get gloves with 30 light.

Also anyone doing iron banner must buy the buff for an XP boost. I also recommend completing the nightfall so your iron banner bounties will get you double XP.

I keep telling myself that I'll do the Crucible and PvP, but I just can't talk myself into doing it. I know I'm missing a big part of the game, but I just enjoy the strikes and raids more.
I've done 1 control mission, that's it. So perhaps I'm not giving the game fair effort for PvP.

It's hard because I have a small window that I can usually play per day. I'd rather spend that time hitting dailies, weeklies, or public events to keep stockpiling ascendant materials and weapons. Lately, I've been trying to level up a second character, so I can raid twice each week, especially with the Dark Below coming soon.

I literally have balanced weapons and armor for two unique characters to get them each to Level 29. I've spent a lot of time crafting and leveling optimal weapons and armor over the last month with the goal of creating a second character and dumping it on him. Hell, I think I could have enough weapons and armor to have three separate Titans.

I mean it's not 47-7 but considering I'm only level 25 and everyone else was 29/30, I'll take it.

I really don't like the PVP stuff (not just Destiny fwiw), but when i was playing yesterday, in the 2/3 hours I played, I lost 4 games total. I'm not bad by any means, I got so many 4+ kills with my super (dancer), and and that pumped me up. Best game I had, I had 6000 score, 28-13 I believe.

What's the deal with the tempered buff thing? I read the description, but is it 20% boost like the Nightfall? If so, that's kind if a huge boost, 40% with the Nightfall.

Edit: The Iron Banner thing really annoys me though. Level advantages are such bullshit. A level 27 can one shot kill me with a shotgun. I'm not saying make it impossible for anyone to kill someone that's a higher level, but there should be much higher restrictions on them.

If the PVE is a 20% penalty per level, why can't the Iron Banner be 10% up to a certain %, say 40%. For a game mode that says in the description what it is, nobody could complain about that.

Also what is up with Fusion rifles? The definition of an I win button. Might as well just put hold R2 to win in the screen.

Gymbo, I was the same way until the first iron banner was up. I think I'd rather do the crucible now then strikes and shit. It's all about knowing the maps and finding the type of game you enjoy the most.

I'm excited about getting to level 4 and getting that fusion rifle. Got the boots already. Hopefully I'll have enough glimmer for the gloves too, I'll figure it out.

Just got 2 new shades and it's the first time I've been excited about them. Got one it's called some long number thing 262747473-17276. Like that. And ones called undercity. Both sweet. I was worried about this game a week or 2 ago but I haven't touched call of duty in a week.

Well i beat the game story (that was it? very underwhelming). And i have 1 patrol, and 2 strikes left to finish on the maps. Then it's all bounties and the crucible right? Why would i hang on to this game after this week when all of that will be accomplished for me?

Nope - in my opinion the best part of the game is the social aspect. The ability to team up and tackle some of the harder challenges is a lot of fun. The weekly Heroic and Nightfall strikes are great and rewarding.

The Vault of Glass is something that I think everyone who plays Destiny should experience. With the Dark Below coming out, a second raid will be added to the game. What level are you? Because collecting and leveling powerful loot is another fun part of the game.

I'm level 20. I haven't ever gotten in to the social aspect of the game much, and ill definitely team up with people and tackle challenges.

I don't know too many people on Destiny for PS4 so ill have to find some.

There's a bunch of us on here, more so for the PS4, than the XBONE. If you're on the PS4, Ohdang set up a clan you can join (http://www.bungie.net/en/Clan/Detail/405274) and I'd be happy to show you the ropes.

Right now, you basically have to collect the best gear you can. You've hit the level cap and now the quality of your gear plays a role in how you level up. You'll start out with greens and blues (uncommon and rare). Only rare and up can yield light for you, which is what pushes you up levels. Here's a link on this concept: http://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/2i7apt/guide_max_light_level_raid_gear/

As a basic guide, what you are going to want to do is level up your vanguard/crucible so you can buy armour from them. Do the bounties. Then once you are level 25, the RCF group can drag you through the Raid.

Need 21 light for 21, 32, 43, etc all the way to 120 for max level 30.

Make sure you do the weekly to get coins for Xur, big help in getting you leveled.

The trick to beating shotgun noobs is the throwing knife. Spec so you have 2 and you get your cooldown reset when you get a precision kill with it, put 2-3 shots into them with the Suros Regime to get their shields down to below half when you see them charging at you in a straight line, and then put a throwing knife in their face. Instant kill and you get your cooldown back before they ever get in range to kill you. Works wonders for striker titans also. You will literally always have it up once you learn how to aim it consistently to hit them in the face from range. Its the most overpowered, under appreciated part of being a hunter in PvP. It makes Gunslinger better than Bladedancer in PvP before you ever even factor in Golden Gun, which is no joke either.

As for the fusion rifle, you basically just have to dance around and keep your reticle on their head and take them down before they get that second shot off. If they're good, they won't miss more than once, and sometimes you just have to accept you got zapped by a decent player. It happens. Like I said, I just cracked the top 5% and that's with a 1.8 lifetime K/D ratio. Since I got the Suros and the Knucklehead Radar maxed out its probably improved to around 2.0, but that's still a lot of deaths in a game. Its easy to die with all the supers, rockets, shotguns, fusion rifles, etc. You can play a good game and still be only around a 1.5 at the end. Its not Call of Duty where 1.5 is mediocre.

30 and 10 is a hell of a game. Next time I'm on and you're playing add me, we'll cause more damage together than by ourselves.

The majority of us in this thread belong to the PS4 master race. Add us and we'll play with you. My PSN is Oohdang.

Destiny is my first shooter so I started the game with a really bad K/D at 0.72 but once I got the feel and learnrd how to use the map I raised it to 1.08. It would be higher but I was already pretty far gone. I had to work myself out of a pretty big hole to raise it even that high.

I'm liking the hunter class a lot in pvp. I really dont know how to use the knives yet but I'll try that. Its a bit of a change coming from a Warlock. On my warlock im one of those shotgun noobs lol I. That slide, shotgun, melee combo is just to good not to use, plus i have the Invective. I mainly use an auto rifle but in the iron banner ive been using the VoC which has been amazing.
