Diablo 3

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
My wife asked if I was going to stay up until 2 am our time to play, I told her that would be irresponsible because I had to work at 8 am. So I woke at 430 am and played until I got to work.

Its a lot like D2 and D1 same concepts, new graphics and skill and talent system are changed. I personally really have enjoyed beta and the time I have played so far. I like that unlike wow I can play casually. Richfield if you have specific questions I can try and answer them.

For anyone who wants to play in game my battle net tag is preacher#1983 just please tell me who you are from the forums when you send your invite.

Well I stayed up until 330 EST to play and couldnt log the fuck in so I went to bed.

I agree about the casual part. After being heavily into WoW (and pissing off my wife on a near daily basis as a result), I am a more casual gamer now.

I suppose my questions are just in the appeal of it. Like I said, I played the open beta for about two hours and enjoyed it somewhat. But I just didn't get the crack-like addiction some people have with it. I never played D1 or D2, so it may be that I am not used to the format. I guess I just didn't get sucked into the D3 world in my brief time playing the game. (I blame Skyrim, which may have ruined all RPGs for the rest of my life it was so good.)

Does it get more complicated? It just seemed like I had to mash my left-mouse button over and over and over. There wasn't much thought as to strategy, the choices I made, etc. Beating the hell out of demons is fun, but I don't know how long that will last.

I'm not sure it will get much more complex than that, lol. It may just not be for you. Diablo 2 basically boiled down to mashing my mouse button over and over but I loved it.

Try playing with some friends.

I played all night. I'm hooked. I see a really long beard in my future.

After reading this review, I am more excited about the game. My concern at the start was that it was too easy (which would quickly morph into "too boring"). But it sounds like the strategy aspect gets ramped up as the game moves along.

How to turn On Diablo 3 elective mode for your character

Did you know you aren't locked into using the primary, secondary and action bar skills designated for your character in Diablo 3? You can choose to put any skill in any spot, even changing out your primary and secondary attacks, by turning on Diablo 3's elective mode.

You can turn on elective mode by going into Options, choosing Gameplay and putting a checking the box next to "Elective Mode".

What is Elective Mode?

By default, Diablo 3 locks you into certain skill choices with your primary, secondary and action skill attacks. For example, the Monk must choose between Blinding Flash, Breath of Heaven, Serenity and Inner Sanctuary for their first action bar skill and Dashing Strike, Exploding Palm and Sweeping Wind for their second action bar skill.

But what if you want to use both Breath of Heaven and Blinding Flash?

Turning on Elective Mode enables you to put any skill in any slot, thus unlocking the possibility of using two skills from the same skill set. This allows you more control over how you create the class.

Once Elective Mode is turned on, you will have the ability to scroll through skill sets when choosing a skill by pressing the left or right arrows on either side of your skill choices.

I've been waiting for this game since sophomore year of high school. Haven't had much of a chance to play with work and the servers being down.
