Diet and Workout Routines

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
So I think I got turf toe. Can move it a bit but its incredibly painful. Swollen a bit. Very painful to touch around the joint.

Cause? Desk job...this is pathetic :( didn't stub it or anything.

The jorts cut off the blood flow to your toe...

Give me a good new back routine..I have been doing mine for a month now so it is time to switch it up..Dave, something that doesn't involve steroids.

just do every back lift you can think of until you can't stand up straight..seems legit

I really like the suspended pullup (dunno is that is what it is actually called) You do a wide grip but lock into place at the top for a minute rest for a minute then repeat do three times. Also enjoy straight armed pulldowns.

I had a mandatory seminar for work, today. It was all about becoming better fitness coaches and selling products and gaining more members. This went on from 9am-4:30pm. The front half was all about business techniques. Then we had an hour lunch break. The staff of the club I work for went to Denny's. We all ordered typically healthy-- as to not appear like we have an unhealthy lifestyle, outside of work.

One girl didn't care though, she had a cheeseburger and fries-- knowing that the second portion of the seminar was about coaching. And with that, we all worked out for over 2 hours. Correcting form and encouraging each other. I'd say there were 70+ people at this seminar. So, we had to role play - Club member, coach (trainer), and observer. We critiqued as an observer and rotated the roles for the duration of the set exercise program.

Some woman came over and told me that "You look like a ballarenia." -- I'm still trying to figure out what she meant, but I'm sure it was a compliment. I pretty much gave 100% on every exercise to the point of exhaustion. I also found out that at another seminar, Jillian Michaels was the guest speaker...

Snatch grip deadlifts (DL with a wide grip) 5x5
Those P90x pullups where you pull up, then slide to the one side, then another (while your chin is over the bar), then down; that is one. Try to accumulate as many as you can.
Straight arm lat pushdown: I like to keep the weight light, and go even wider than the dude in the video.

Did my outdoor cardio today with ankle weights on. When I got to the half way point of my 6.2 mile route, I realized that the ankle weights were rubbing up against my Achilles heel (both), but I ignored it and continued to push my pace. I didn't realize how badly I hurt them until I got in bed. They are both throbbing/tender to the touch.

I'm hoping it's just a slight bruise, as I've never experienced this type of pain in that location before.

Achilles injuries are the worst...I got one for the first time a couple months ago running hills. Still not back to normal, although I can tell it's getting better. One of those injuries that doesn't really hurt after a while, but is hard to completely ignore and makes you more cautious than you would normally be because you know if you somehow fuck up and tear it you're in deep shit.

I wouldn't think that you could hurt your achilles like that with ankle weights...hopefully the swelling goes down and everything's back to normal. More respect than ever for Deng though. Wishful thinking about him being 100% after the All-Star break; achilles injuries just take forever no matter what you do. Hope he's back to his old self next season, regardless of who he's playing for.

isn't running with ankle weights terrible for your joints and stuff

I'm not a runner, my outdoor cardio consists to a fast paced walk. There are times when I do jog. I also throw on the ankle weights when I do other routines at home. (Kettlebell and hybrid Yoga). I've never heard anything about them being bad for the joints, although I've heard running is bad for the joints. (The case in all this is how frequently these are being done)- if you have improper shoes, you can injure yourself. If you have the wrong form, and so on and so on.

Slight callus have formed around my Achilles. Still sore, but a definite indicator that I need to lay off the ankle weights for awhile.

Starting my Animal cuts today for a three week cycle. Here is to hoping this works.

Thanks for specifing that you were wearing a t-shirt and shorts. Otherwise, I would have assumed that you were in a lace thong and shirtless.

I know girls are self-conscious and all that, but most guys weigh themselves in boxers only.
