If Max has hit it on the head, and that Dion's attitude is causing disruption among the team, and his play isn't compensating for those actions, how is trading him reactionary? Especially if there is a trade to be made that gets equal, complementary value back?

I agree. Dion, or anyone on our short list of young talent, should never be shipped out just to make someone "happy", be it Kyrie, MB, or whoever. But there are too many problems on this team, and they need to start being weeded out one by one.

Dump Dion? No. But consider that maybe it's time to to send him somewhere more built for his skillset and try and get the same back in return? Sounds like someone trying to properly fix their mistake as best they can (ie: Chris Grant).

Believe me, I really wish Dion and Kyrie played well together and that there was no chemistry issue tearing a rift in the team. But it sure sounds like there is. So isn't the solution then to remedy that?

I'm gonna say this and get shit on for it, but Max also first blamed Bynum for the problems, then the lack of a wing, and now it's Dion. I blamed those first two things as well. But I'm done pointing at this player or that player. It's a team wide, organization wide thing. Getting rid of Dion will fix nothing.

I used to love Waiters, but like everybody else, he is really starting to sour on me. His attitude is hitting rock bottom and the body language is inexcusable. I never thought I would get to this point, but we could even do a Waiters/Barnes swap at this point I would be thrilled (even if Barnes doesn't look like a star).

I figure Waiters and Miles will be gone as soon as tonight. Can't have guys out there playing hard and showing up our "leader" and "superstar".

So after watching that game tonight, watching as Waiters was one of the few guys actually committed to playing defense and playing hard, this is how you felt?

I honestly don't understand what game people watch sometimes. That was one of the better Waiter's attitude games I've seen. Got zero run in the 1st half. Team is getting pounded, and he played his nuts off instead of pouting.

Kyrie is a much bigger issue than Dion.

Dion is much easier to deal with because he is not as talented and can be shipped off without too much backlash...but make no mistake, Kyrie is the bigger problem.

Not going to lie, I could only catch the second half due to school. Even then, he is still sulking after every missed shot.

His defensive effort is great when he's locking down one on one, but did you miss the 4+ three pointers he failed to close out on? Then after he pouts/sulks some more because they made yet another 3, even though it's on him. He gets extremely lazy on his off the ball defense and helps one pass away when there's no reason to and doesn't seem to learn from his repeated mistakes.

He was inefficient taking more bad shots (again), and played decent defense from what I saw. That isn't a world-beating performance. Don't get me wrong he's still a very young player and could thrive under a good coach, but I still think he gets traded before Mike Brown gets fired unfortunately.

Dion is the kind of hard headed asshole that a real coach could break down enough to gain his respect while keeping the fire. That an be corrected. All of his flaws can be fixed, and this team sucks anyway, so why not try to fix them?

I often agree with 99% of your posts Rich...

But saying Waiters looked good compared to the rest of the team is hardly a compliment. He's not THE problem like people are making him out to be, but from a production standpoint he still looked worse than nearly all the Lakers scrubs.

People may hate Grant for drafting the kid and he's not as talented as we'd like but I always appreciate guys who care enough about the game to work hard and actually give a shit about winning.

Good luck to you Dion may you find a coach and team that will help you iron out the holes in your game and make your career a success.

I have no sympathy for Dion. I do not like the chip-on-shoulder routine. It's disgusting.

Why was Fred freaking out about Dion (after he missed) taking a somewhat open 3 with a minute or two to go down about 10-15. Remember that 3 in the corner off the pass from Bennett? I watched it a couple times, he had a shot.

Why was Fred acting like he knew better? Was that to appease Dan Gilbert?

Shut up, Fred.
