I love every second of that work dion was giving Tim jr. I was cheering after every shot because I'm pretty sure every media member that said dion was a average player so I was happy for him. Don't get me started on that website realgm they think dion suck and that every other rookie got potential except for ours. They think Harrison Barnes better than dion and think Val is better than Tristan

i dont know what people are talking about. it was a great interview.

Key points -
Despite his ability to sink threes Dion is gonna stick to his game and drive the ball.
Hardaway was talking smack and he notched it up.
Dion has alot of confidence in Him and Kyrie sharing a backcourt.
Dion certainly wasnt sulking about not getting MVP and gave a shout to Drummond like a true sport.

Ultimately Dion led the team with guards who were supposed to be better than him with 5th in minutes. first in scoring, first in assist and 1st in steals. 1st in free throws made, 1st in fg% and lets not forget he did similiar shooting 91% in 12 shots in last seasons exhibition.

Dion was the most efficient
Dion was having fun

Overall Dion stood out against the guys he was drafted against and he showed he could play team ball as well.

What I was most impressed with was when he broke hardaways ankles . he let hardaway get up .

I give Dion an A+++ and ESPN cant erase what the fans and non fans saw no matter how much they try.

Loved watching that last night, but I also watched the post game presser and Dion came off as the most unlikable man on earth. Dude seems like a genuine asshole. That said, I love it for the Cavs.

Anyone have a link to this?
As an aside, I always felt like Dion was a misunderstood, passionate, individual.

I really hope thats not the interview dw was talking about..

I loved that interview!
Thought it was one of the best I've seen out of Dion.

Happy for the kid, and happy there is a lot more positive energy coming from this young team.

lol

Love the guy's twitter background, I had to look for the image:

Look at how goofy Red is, looks like a high-school kid with that pose and smile. :chuckles:

I've never gotten that impression from a Dion interview. He can't articulate very well but he has always seemed like a pretty cool guy to me. Care to elaborate?

Dion can be moody, and a slice of that is just normal immaturity issues. But, the kid is nails. Just a very good, but also very street tough kid. He and Delly are a lot alike in that respect.

ESPN.com gave out grades for the Rising Stars challenge.

Drummond & THJR.both received "A+" grades while Dion only got an "A".

You can't tell me that the media in general does not like this guy.

That might have something to do w Dion's matador defense in the first half.

My favorite part of the game besides Dion going crazy and that dude dropping the MVP tophy :)chuckles:) was Kyrie going crazy for Dion behind the hoop after Dion's last few baskets.

Hardaway Jr. may have put on a better "show" with his 30 ft hoist

Unfortunately no one seems to care about FG%

Who cares about grades for this.... The fuck?

You're kidding right?

First of all, it's an unspoken, well actually spoken, rule that you play purposefully weak defense in all star games. It's a exhibition, a talent show, not a tournament or combine.

Second, Waiters actually wrapped a dude up in the first quarter (don't remember who) to prevent the easy bucket, and he got side-eyed by a bunch of players. He got caught up in the moment and instinctually tried to stop a dunk like you're supposed to in a real game, and then realized that the etiquette is to just let the dude dunk.

From that exact moment forward, you could see Dion literally step aside on fast breaks. As you should in an all star game.

Dion is blue collar Cleveland tough. The media doesn't give him love but he is the guy that is fueled by people doubting him and not respecting him. Hope he blows up over the 2nd half and helps Cavs push to the playoffs. Not saying at all that we would win a series but Indiana or Miami would much rather see Charlotte over us

lol @ "step aside".. I've seen guys get out the was of dunkers but not get out of guys' way at the three point line.

That's not a spoken nor unspoken rule.

I recommend you watch the 1992 Allstar game to see what makes an allstar game an allstar game. Competition brings out the best in everybody and makes for the best games imo. You'll probably never see passing like that again in an allstar game, especially if everyone believes as you do, that defense is not to be played. Well to those greats, it did (not to the point where you'll injure yourself), and winning mattered. And the result was the best allstar game of all time from a basketball quality standpoint imo. You really have to try to watch that game, it's a completely different animal than what we're watching today.

Don't get me wrong, I'm fine with whatever last night was. But expecting an A+ when a guy literally gets out of the way of the majority of all offense in the first half, is asking a lot.
