Figures Waiters would hurt his knee as we get some momentum. On the bright side with the way Bennett is playing, and the depth at guard we shouldn't miss him too much. even Jack is making some plays.

Phewww... I'm not a religious man, but thanks God.

You're welcome. :chuckles: Making sure that Dion tore nothing was imperative for ensuring that the front office would have no reason to keep Jarrett Jack on this team any longer. :chuckles:

I'm Dion's biggest fan.

That said, everything I've ever heard is that he's a bit of a wuss or an embellisher when it comes to his injuries. Funny, you'd think the opposite from the mean mugging Philly kid. :chuckles:

I'd expect him to miss significant time.

But if he knows that the team's postseason chances hinge significantly on his participation, I think he'll suck it up and play. It's one thing to sit out when the games don't matter. I think Dion knows what's up.

A hyper-extension like that without any physical damage is generally more mentally scary than anything. Unless it is extremely bad he should be back on the court within 2 weeks. If it is mild 7 days.

BSPN's comical musings about the Cavs continued tonight. In their trade deadline video, posted at 10:04 p.m. -- so after the Cavs won their 5th straight, Dion looked fantastic in his limited minutes and was injured for an indeterminate amount of time -- trade deadline "expert" Tom Penn has declared that, not only will Dion Waiters be traded, but of all the players in the NBA, he's at the absolute top of the board of players who SHOULD be traded.

"In Cleveland, Dion Waiters should be on the move. David Griffin is the new General Manager in Cleveland on an interim basis. He must make a trade, he's likely to make some kind of trade. It's time to face that Dion Waiters doesn't fit with the coach, more importantly doesn't fit with Kyrie Irving. While you have years on his contract and the ability to move him, move Dion Waiters now for value in the future as you re-make the Cleveland Cavaliers."

If Jack Is not gone by the deadline I will lose faith. I am sorry god win streak or not... He needs to go. Where Is the Kevin Love god??? then would I sacrifice such a pure talent for a higher meaning. In basketball terms. If It Is Dion for Love or Love for Dion. I think we shalt not be mad.

i've always been nervous about Waiters injuring himself on dunk attempts. smaller guys who force dunks in traffic are prone to leg and knee injuries because they are coming down from such a height that the landing impact leads to potential leg issues - they are more likely to lose balance in mid-air and land awkwardly. guys his size should rely more on floaters rather than risking injury by trying out-jump big men. that's what i like about Kyrie - he sticks to layups and floaters - he's not trying to jump over 7 footers and dunk on them.

Hawes body checking him was the cause. I really wish the NBA called fouls on bigs that move while in mid air, they seem to ignore body contact when their hands are straight up, even though the body contact is what's likely to cause an injury.

So hes just gonna ignore Jarrett Jack right? The guy ON THE SAME TEAM AS DION!?

Soon as Dion dropped 31 in the all star weekend the media wanted him to leave Cleveland.

When Bennett dropped 19 and 10 I SWEAR the next day I saw an article of how Bennett was being held back in Cleveland didn't fit and needed to be traded by some NYK writer.

They can see he is going to break out and they want him in New York ASAP.

You do realize that Dion got hurt on the next step after he had already came down from the dunk, right? It was a freak injury. I feel like you're reaching here.

That's like saying all little guys should rely on floaters and avoid dunks to avoid injury. If that's the case then everyone should just start jacking 3s to avoid all contact.

Case in point, everyone gets hurts. It's random. Just gotta deal with it.

Damn, I hate everything about New York. Especially the people

I think people are being overly sensitive here. I have no problem with what Penn said. I think they should explore the option. I'm not sure if his value is the highest it will be. I disagree with that statement. His attitude and fit are question but his talent is not. He's been playing well of late, I think the drum beat to trade him inside of the organization has been muted of late.
