jalen says really nice things about dion and the cavs

only national guy who isnt an asshole

starts at 4:15

Yeah pick it up around the 4:15 mark. It's worth a listen.

Also, I've said it before, but I love love LOVE listening to Jalen in these podcast and videos. Dude has so many great stories and has a great perspective as a former player, and it's so awesome to hear him outside of the ESPN studios where he's forced to read all his remarks off a TelePrompTer.

When he guaranteed waiters would end up a good player like lance Stephenson, I wish Jacoby would have asked him who he thinks has a higher ceiling

The Jalen Rose video is definitely worth a listen. Only talks Cavs for a few minutes of the 35 and it starts at 4:15. Mentioned Dion in the same sentence as Lance Stephenson, Paul George, DeMarcus Cousins, and John Wall as "another jewel".

If anyone is going to be nice about the Cavs it's Jalen. I remember he had a huge argument with (Skip?) someone on ESPN where he said he will never talk bad about any player. I feel where he's coming from, but that would make it hard to analyze unless it's from a team/macro level.

Jalen's a Midwest guy. He's always talked very nicely about Cleveland, Indiana and his home state of Michigan. I love that he's always taken a liking to players he knows are unjustly maligned.

I had to watch it twice because the first time all I looked at was his fucking baseball bat.

Damn, so revisiting that Dion dunk over Hawes. Never really noticed this before. Listen to the Philly guy: "Head almost hits the bottom of the backboard..." then freeze at about 31.5s:

He wasn't kidding, his head was nearly at the bottom of the backboard.

I guess it's not THAT impressive since that puts his jump around 35-38" but still you don't see guys get that high that often in a game setting.

"The Bullshit Whisperer: Good news for #Cavs: MRI on Dion Waiters' left knee reveals no damage, says GM David Griffin. Waiters listed as day-to-day"

Don't know if it was already posted, but good to hear.

edit- nvm, it was.

This Toronto game should help dispel the myth that Kyrie plays at odds with Dion. No Dion and Kyrie is shooting 2-14.

Kyrie would had some open looks tonight if Dion was out there with him. But he wasn't, so Kyrie had to do it all himself.

I wonder if waiters will develope a floater in the off season.. Less contact at the rim and he can get his shot off.
