I really want to see Irving/Waiters/Deng/Thompson/Hawes getting minutes together. Though our chances to make the Playoffs are not great, if we make it, it will be from this team peaking at the right time. I would rather go into the Playoffs hot as a ~40 win team as opposed to fizzling in the Playoffs after winning 50+ games in the regular season.

Hopefully someone asks Mike if Dion will have limitations or if he will be ready to go back to his normal minutes... But yes, he should be starting.

Please start him Mike Brown...please....

I like him off the bench still. You then can bring Dion in around the 7-6 min mark for Jack, then keep Jack on the bench the rest of the half. :)

If Dion starts, that means you have Jack-Delly-Gee coming in for that 2nd unit... :puke:

From Lloyd:

INDEPENDENCE: Dion Waiters expects to play Tuesday when the Cavaliers host the San Antonio Spurs.

Waiters missed seven games with a knee injury and is the first of the Cavs’ injured trio to return. Mike Brown said there was a slim chance Anderson Varejao could also return Tuesday, but that isn’t likely. C.J. Miles is still out with a sprained ankle and said he hopes to be ready to play by the start of the Cavs’ West Coast trip on March 12.

Waiters participated in all of Monday’s practice, while Varejao participated in about half of it.

“I feel good. The knee feels good, just a little bit of aching. But it's OK,” Waiters said. “I'm looking forward to playing tomorrow, looking forward to getting out there with my team. They’ve been playing great basketball ball the last couple games.”

Waiters hyperextended his knee when he landed awkwardly following a dunk.

"I thought I tore something right away," Waiters said. "But I'm just thankful. I thank God every day for not tearing anything."

Waiters leads all Eastern Conference reserves in scoring, averaging 14.5 points and 2.8 assists off the bench. He’s averaging 14.3 points and shooting 42 percent on the season.

Dont want to start him....yet. Would rather start him after like 5 games to get his grove back. Because if he starts and is rusty, people will say its because hes meant to be the 6th man, and itll just piss me off

He didn't start before he was injured and I wouldn't see him starting afterwards.

Jack will continue to start but remember his minutes were cut immensely when Waiters was available. I look to see Jack have his minutes reduced to give Dion more playing time, especially in the 4th quarter.

Dion's found his niche right now & it's been working (pre-injury, of course). No reason to change anything right now, IMO.
