I think it's funny how excited Seth Curry got when Waiters hit the shot. I'm like...dude you're on a ten day contract.

It's all in the excitement of the game. I sure as hell would have gotten all riled up

To add too that Imagine Dion who tries and gives his all On and off the court. To finally hit that shot... Anyone on that bench has to love that shot. I mean the buzzer beater Is the most exciting shot In this game. Our young waiters took It upon himself to win that game, A star Is born.

The stats have been good for Dion lately but I'm more impressed with his growth from a maturity sense. He's pouting less, not letting his shoulders sag, playing more defense, moving/sharing the ball.....

I wonder if that has anything to do with him getting the minutes he deserves... and not getting yanked out of the game when he starts to heat up...

Thanks for posting the video. Always love the stunned silence when the visitors sink a last-second shot for the win.

Although looking at the stands, there were so many empty seats, there would have been silence even if the Pistons had held on.

We do not forgive. We do not forget. I think we can all agree this was horrible analysis all the way around, even at the time. But his comments about Waiters were so dismissive and without a lick of perspective, it stuck in my craw. I've asked @jaycaspiankang for his thoughts on Waiters' recent play and tonight's game-winner. I don't expect a response, but I feel the need to at least remind these jackasses that they're accountable for the garbage they spew on the regular.

RBA, appreciate your memory (or at least your Google ability) and your desire for accountability. The Internet never forgets.

I think we give far too much credence to the opinions of writers for national publications/sites. My guess is that Mr. Kang has watched maybe two Cavs games all season, and took that bit of observation, plugged in the narrative that "Kyrie and Dion don't get along," and called it a day. I'm not blaming him; the Cavs have often been unwatchable this season (especially around the time that piece was written), and it's impossible to be an in-depth expert on each of the 30 teams. But I also don't think his opinion carries much weight.

Maybe we don't forgive, and maybe we don't forget. But maybe we shouldn't give a damn about some outsider's opinion in the first place.

Maybe people shouldn't follow sports media in the first place and just watch the games and read the statistics.

99% of these guys spout opinions they don't believe because it will get them page hits and get people to click on links from advertisers, prove to their bosses that they drive a lot of traffic and get them attention.

Why humor them?

One thing i've noticed about Waiters is that the other players on the team all look better with him on the floor. Down the stretch they want to rally with Waiters to win the game. I think they sense that he hates losing, always wants to win; it's a pride thing. This is intangible and I don't sense it is the same with Kyrie. With a young team it's always going to be a fight to win games no matter how much talent you have, with Kyrie i just didn't see anyone fighting-- They wanted wins to fall on their laps, and let Kyrie take over when they didn't.

I'm glad it looks like we're past the point of screaming "BAD SHOT!!" every time he creates a mid range jumper for himself. That's his game. (I'm not suggesting he hasn't taken plenty of actual bad shots though.)

Terrible shot selection. Don't know how we can "get past that." He's better off being one-foot back (3pt) or several feet closer. But taking the long fadeaway 2 is generally bad basketball.

Those shots are defended as such though.

It is all a balance of efficiency, if he can be efficient taking 19 foot jumpers because he is a good shooter from that range, and can get more open looks, then so be it. The three point line and closer to the hoop are defended more aggressively.

Don't disagree - but 38% of his shots are coming from mid-range compared to 36% for Kyrie and 46% for Jack. He's shooting 3s 20% of the time compared to Kyrie's 23% and Jack's 17%. Might just be a function of the offense.

Not sure if this is sustainable, but Dion is also shooting 43% from mid-range this year compared to 40% for Kyrie and 39% for Jack.

I wouldn't call this "growth" for Dion. It's his forte. Long contested 2s.

How the fuck can people not enjoy a buzzer-beater to beat our bitter rival? He had 3 seconds to get a clean shot off, and he did it with time to spare. I understand the bitching about long 2s early in the shot clock but this was a game winning dagger as time expired.

Come on, what's the point of being a Cavs fan if you're going to complain after a 16 point 4th quarter comeback that ends on a shot like that?

Here's another GREAT VIDEO from DETROIT !! It's the BEST!!

I watched most of the game but missed most of the 4th..when I saw the Cavs had a shot I thought Dion would get the ball.
He did.
I thought when he released it he would make it.
He did.
I thought that was a LONG 3 seconds.
It was .

Haters gonna hate! My boy Dwait growing before our very eyes and ppl still complaining...:dunno:
