The animosity b/w Irving and Waiters is due to the revolving door of GM's and coaches. Brown obviously had no clue how to use Dion. Some of the amount of minutes he got vs. Jack in game was absurd. Had these players been coached properly together, we wouldn't even be having this discussion.

Blatt's offense is perfect for the pair. Get them to operate together efficiently and all these "issues disappear. Based on Blatt's previous offensives, he has to believe both players are perfect for his system.

The only reason Dion is moved this off-season is to acquire a superstar. Otherwise, i just don't see him off this team. He hasn't reached his potential by any means. With PROPER coaching, he is likely to flourish with Kyrie.
 
Yeah, i think Dion and Kyrie genuinely like one another pretty decently. The issue comes more from them wanting to pass the ball back and forth with one another. They are learning that alone they are both good to great but together, they can become unstopable.

I think sometimes we forget what it was like to be 21 and all ego. Sometimes, it just takes growing up. T
 
So am I wasting $50 if I get his jersey? I love the kid but it's riskier than Embiid's health.
 
I'd hold off for a couple weeks...
 
I love Dion but i'd wait on buying his jersey. He is the one major tradable asset we have on our roster. He can get you a high level player in a trade.

They won't move him unless it is for Kevin Love. I firmly believe that.
 
I dont know if this matters, but the last 2 months he did average around 20pts/game????

Waiters is going nowhere until they feel Wiggins is developed enough to take the ball in his hands. The annoying and consistant James/Love stuff is gettting stupid.

I agree with you 100%. I love the hell out of Waiters game and actually would prefer we would keep him over Kyrie if we were to move anyone. It seems per the media or other sources or other people that they just want to move Waiters.

Me? I want this kid on my team. I love his heart and his grit.
 
I'm guessing they want to get him out of here before Blatt gets a chance to coach him and wants to keep him.

Yeah, they're trying to open up 36 mpg for Joey Hoops. Done deal.

If they get Love or someone like Horford, Dion is a part of that package and gone.

If not, its far more likely that Jack gets traded and Dion plays 28-36 mpg, regardless of whether he's starting or not.
 
i love dions game. But you keep kyrie every time over him. We see how a lot of teams are running two ball dominate guards now, just need the right system to make it work, which I have faith in blatt to do
 
I don't see how he cannot play with Wiggins. Wiggins will be coming off the bench you would assume to start the season. Plus Dion showed this year he is strong enough to play the 3. If you have a lineup Irving, Dion, Wiggins, Irving can play the 1 or 2, Dion can play the 1,2,3 and Wiggins could play the 2,3, then Wiggins could guard the best player on the court at the 1,2,3.
