Dion Waiters

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I wish Dion would've got traded to Knicks

I just feel like this is another bad situation for him. He needs to be on a team with a pass first point guard.
Surely King Dion should be able to get "his" even with those chuckers Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook ignorantly refusing to give him the shots he deserves.

The Knicks are probably the most dysfunctional franchise in the entire league. They are a prisoner of their own "mystique", which when you really look at their history, is pretty much non-existent. As a consequence, they make moves that are designed more to revive the non-existence "legend" of MSG, rather than building fundamentally sound teams. Style over substance.

Come to think of it, you're right. New York would have been the perfect team for him.

The Knicks have had three winning seasons (two not much above .500) since 2001. That has to put them in the running for worst team of the new millennia.

It would be extremely entertaining to grave dig the old dion thread and look for all of those posters that said "trading dion is going to come back and bite us, guy has all-star talent" :chuckle:

Shit I could average 10 a game. Would just take me 20 shots and 28% shooting. I'd probably end up grabbing 2 rebounds too just out of pure happenstance by standing on the court long enough.

Waiters is averaging 11.4 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.8 steals on 39.8 percent shooting from the floor and 25 percent shooting from 3-point range in eight games with the Thunder. His production is nearly identical to the 10.5 points, 1.7 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.3 steals on 40.4 percent from the field and 25.6 percent from 3 that he averaged for Cleveland this season before the trade.

Very mature and reflective responses from him. Though, I don't buy that he sees Sunday as merely a "regular game." Glad he likes his new team. I hope he grows with OKC.

His grammar is atrocious.

Yeah the ESPN comments were destroying his grammar. I can understand them doing that but what annoys me is all the hate people give him making him out to be a bad person. Dion isn't the most intelligent speaker and often says things he shouldn't but I think most of us here can agree that he at least has good intentions.

What I always loved about Dion was the chip on his shoulder. Always wanting to prove himself. What I am starting to realize is there is nothing to prove anymore. He is who he is, he's not going to magically become this great player. The most telling point is his shooting mechanics; they have somehow WORSENED over the years. He would start the season looking like he made some positive changes, and then a few games in revert completely back to his superman, hoisting up the ball, fadeaway, full body, hitting the ceiling jumpshot.

Funniest part is that lebron hasn't even reached out

He really looked like he was playing with an FU attitude towards us. Luckily, he's not good enough to make us pay. I mean, he still takes leaning shots from everywhere. How do you mess up your form so much?

I just felt like Zen was thoroughly enjoying Dion's peformance tonight.

Still, that drive on Irving where he got to the rim but didn't get the ball high enough to get it inside the net, pretty much showed a glimpse into his struggles.

Hope to see him and that team in the playoff though.
