Dion Waiters

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Because you have people like qaws who would troll the posters of how Dion is so much better than Kyrie and he should of been traded. Then Cash has to come in and back up his guy which is alright. But for me, that's how it started. Qaws is the troll that lit the fuse.

But the bolded is just absurd. And to be honest, Qaws wasn't the only guy saying this last year.

I actually remember how (and who) was going around trashing Kyrie Irving (and Dion Waiters), including at least a few long-time posters.

As far as @Cashius X , I think his point is that it's tired to knock the guy considering he was a good Cavalier. It's hindsight bias to say "see, Dion sucks and always sucked because he sucks now."

He was a good player on the Cavaliers just last season.

Its definitely obvious that this thread turned into laughter rather that loyalty to a former Cavalier. Its sad but at the same time its the best thing that happened this season. When he scores 30 or something ill be in here eating crow and reading the few posters explain some Shit.

No one would bash Dion if qaws didn't pull that King Dion shit and if Cashius didn't hit the disagree button on every single damn post that said anything negative about Dion (which happened even before the trade went down).

I grew to like Dion in the end but my goodness, some posters last year wanted us to build around this kid and get rid of Kyrie. Seriously, that was one of the most frustrating shit some of us had to endure until Kyrie signed the max and squashed their fantasy with Dion running the point.

Agreed..

It's strange how we're in here trashing the kid.

He certainly fell off this year, but some people seem to be rejoicing in that fact.

My thing is that I really didn't like how he gets traded and then immediately comes up with the "they didn't give me the ball" garbage to the media. That soured me on the kid, even though I like the way he battles on the court. It just made him look dumb and bad.

Got sick of Dion's shit this year. He talked all of the talk, but when shit got tough, he balked. He showed heart last year. The concern was that it was easy for him to show that heart being one of the best players on a bad team. That looks spot on at this point in time.

The bullshit on this forum regarding Dion lately makes it worse. Qaws will post a YouTube highlight of Dion in the layup line and Cashius comes in here regularly to do his, "Leave Brittany Alone" routine.

Dion's played like hot garbage since the trade. Griffin looks like a miracle worker for bringing in the haul that he did. God forbid that gets pointed out. Poor Dion, man.

It's not his fault that he sees himself as the victim in every situation. It's not his fault that nobody understands that he's a superstar player who's never gotten a fair shake.

LeBron came in here ready to turn Dion into a jacked up version of 08-09 Delonte. Dion expected LeBron to make him into Dwyane Wade.

It took LeBron half a season to want nothing to do with the guy. You could see LeBron's shit body language toward Dion in games. You could see LeBron come back after those trades looking like a different guy. Don't tell me Dion's departure had nothing to do with that.

For crying out loud, the guys in the locker room were laughing at him wearing #23 in OKC. This was reported.

There's no I in "team". There is in "Dion".

That's become apparent this season. I don't think it's a bad thing to recognize, and no, I'm not going to stay stuck in that second half of last season when Dion was able to score 19 points a game on a poor team.

I don't think people are really "trashing" him...It's just a (professional) sport. He is a player a lot of fans soured on, for good reason. I am not a fan of what he had to say after being traded either. For a lot of us it just seems like he can't learn/ has no self reflection. He is still likely more successful and well off now than any of us will ever be in our lifetime...not like anyone is kicking a dog while it's down. I don't rejoice in him failing, I just roll my eyes and laugh seeing that he is still the same Dion.

It's just been reported that Durant had a procedure on the same foot he had surgery on and will be revalued in a week to determine when he'll be back. So with that being said, let's say he's out a MINIMUM of 2weeks this is what they're schedule looks like:

That's 8 games 4 against playoff caliber teams. If there's a time that OKC will need doin to step it up and come thru for them and show everyone what he's worth, NOW is the time to show and prove

He actually never said that.
Dion's tenure in Cleveland seemed more about controlling his talent than cultivating it. Yanking him for things like bringing up the ball or calling plays even cutting to the basket. It was unfortunate his first two years wasck more about placating egos than winning.

Heck even after Dion is gone people try to ridicule Dion on twitter for calling for the ball when he was open

No, he didn't say exactly that, but he did mean it. By saying (and I'm paraphrasing to the best of my memory), "I, like, actually get the ball here (in OKC)," is a proof statement that makes him insinuating the statement, "I didn't get the ball in Cleveland," hard to deny.

OKC should just shut down Durant at this point, and hope he's ready by the playoffs.

With Westbrook and the ridiculous amount of talent they just bought in at the deadline, they should make the 8th seed anyways.

Damn OKC is scary post-trade. So many weapons. Then again, we're pretty stacked too. Us against OKC or us against Golden State would be two potentially awesome Finals series. Really don't wanna face the Spurs because 1. I've seen enough of them in the finals and 2. Dat fucking experience Greg Popovich's coaching both scare me.

Honestly, this "it was the Cavs' fault, not Dion's" stuff is exactly the type of thing that keeps this argument going.
