ECF Game 7 | Cavaliers vs. Celtics | May 27th, 2018 | 8:30 PM

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Marcus Morris and his twin can go scream in each other's faces... wouldn't be much different than jerking off in the mirror for them

Hopefully an official SHUT THE FUCK UP to posters saying he's been on the edge of quitting since January.

You know who you are.

I thought he had the right to quit this time, such was the level of ass with which he was surrounded...

If, shoulda, coulda,woulda.

Kyrie wasn't there for his team, who's to say he'll be this time next year?

In 7 seasons, Kyrie has played more than 60 games 3 times. And in the one season he missed less than 10 games (2015), he was out for much of the playoffs. If we are honest, he is kind of brittle. Not necessarily someone to build a team around.

He was a great Robin to LeBron’s Batman. Not sure he has the durability to be Batman.

I'd be lying if the thought of the Cavs losing didn't cross my mind a few times in that first half. Boston came out and swung first but Cleveland just hung around long enough to put a run on...

Bron is Bron. Dude is like the coolest kid in school, you just want a passing nod from him to boost your own self esteem up. This cat makes EVERYONE who plays with him better. He is the ULTIMATE teammate and that is a big thing that separates him from MJ, who had a me first, me last approach. I loved the evolution of the commentary on the game. Early on they were urging Bron to attack and get his because no one else stepped up and thought it was the wrong approach to get the others involved. Then when the others suddenly started to produce, it was the right thing all along for Bron to pass. We all know LBJ's line was sick but I got to give some love to the others right now.

Jeff Green was solid. His ability to cut, drive to the hole and to defend multiple positions was key. He looked like he wanted it and it showed with 19 big points, Smith got into some sort of rhythm when it mattered and finished with 12 on the night. I actually thought the roles of TT and Nance were reversed. TT was a rock with 10 and 9 and Nance looked like the moment was too big for him. He was just like a giant walking foul.

Just an overall feel good outcome to a series much harder than it should have been. I praise the team for showing the heart and hustle needed to represent the eastern conference finals. Now go get off y'alls feets and dive into the next series asap. They got more work to do.

Is Marcus Morris still screaming?

Really unreal we fought through that awful first half.

Go watch LeBron’s body language half way through the second quarter. He was about ready to just throw in the towel. No one doing shit and nothing going right.

Then the role players have a really nice spurt to get us back in the game and LeBron got his bounce back.

Props to Green and TT. Two guys who got shit on all year had really, really good games.

Now lets hope Love feels good the next day or two and Houston finds a way not to shit itself.
This is true.

5 disagrees is bullshit.

Lebron WAS ready to throw in the towell plain and simple.

Whether it was because of fatigue or just checking out, he was on the verge. I'm glad he responded and went back to being his goat self.

I actually dont necessarily agree with this.

I actually think that since Hayward was already out, Boston's only hope was as a super grit-n-grind squad that won with defensive pressure and physicality. Kyrie obviously gives them a huge amount of crunch time ability and he gives them really good individual offense....but Kyrie also takes more control of the ball and offense and besides a couple weeks early in the season he still managed to be a complete sieve on defense. Like in the 20 point beatdown post trade...Kyrie couldn't even stop Clarkson. We killed him. And we hunted him out the entire game.

I actually think Kyrie's presence would have unlocked our offense to the point where Boston simply couldn't keep up. Also, important to remember that game 7 was pretty much the only game that wasn't a pretty solidly "comfortable win" for either team.

Like even last year...Boston was a much tougher out for us when they relied on their grit-n-grind squad that relied on Marcus Smart hero ball.....team wasnt gonna beat us in a series but they were better off against us with that team sans IT and trying to ugly the game up versus having IT out there and completely unlocking our offense.

TL;DR- I don't think Kyrie guarantees a different outcome at all in this series and it's just as likely we would have beat them in 5-6 instead of barely hanging on in 7. Or maybe we do lose...not saying it's impossible just saying I don't think it's that simple.

Agree with you we need to upgrade the squad. I think we need to get the singular, best 1 piece that we can get with the pick PLUS Kevin Love. It would be awesome if we can use that package and get a really super nice "Pippen" for LeBron. Kawhi is the dream, and I'd include Cedi and unprotected 2023and beyond picks if I had to to get him.

Spurs said that it would take a Godfather offer. Tell your dude to get in Koby's ear.

Could the Spurs possibly turn that down?

Yikes, for a small market team making a trade like that giving away unprotected draft picks post-LeBron is definitely playing with fire. That's putting a lot of trust that Kawhi (or LeBron) won't leave in a year, and Kawhi's health.

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul.

  • The celtics havent lost this post-season at home. 10-0
  • The celtics as an organization have never lost a playoffs series after going up 2-0
  • In NBA history a team has gone down 0-2, 300 times in a playoff series, only 19 times has that team come back to win the series
  • There have been 130 game 7's, the home team has won 80% of them (104)
On the surface the cavs look to be pretty big underdogs, however consider this.

I made the game 7 game thread in round 1, after which the games went on a 5 game winning streak.
The cavs are 11-3 in post season games while Ive been in my home state (maryland)
The cavs are 3-0 this year when I go to the local bar during the game (ill be going to the bar).
Oh and the cavs have the single greatest elimination game player in NBA history.

Your starting lineup for the cavs

Lebron James

And finally being completely unable to trust anyone else on the team Tyronn Lue opts to start..... HIMSELF as the cavs 5th starter

Potential bench players this game include Lue favorites.... Iman Shumpert, Jeff Green, Mickey Mouse, Jeff Green, Jordan Clarkson, Jeff Green, and Rodney Hood. Players that absolutely will not be seeing the court include Larry Nance, Kyle Korver, and Cedi Osman.

They will be matching up against

Huge shout out to Tatum for helping us seal the win. The second he bumped into LeBron and taunted him, I knew it then - Game. Over. You don't disrespect da King!

Could the Spurs possibly turn that down?

Yeah, no.

That's how you form dynasties in other markets ala what we did to Boston, or the Nets to Boston...shit, I'm sensing a theme here.

That’s what a Godfather offer is.

The last time the Cavs tried the tank to win strategy we ended up with Kyrie/Dion/Bennett/Wiggins. I’d rather pair Kawhi with Bron for the next 5 years. Add a top 3 protection on the 2027 if it makes you feel better
