Farewell to Jarrett Jack

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: Jarrett Jack

i wish we still had the amnesty clause... :thumbdown

Re: Jarrett Jack

Jarrett Jack playing at all hurts the team two-fold. Firstly, his performance as an individual crushes the team. He has been inefficient shooting-wise, and he doesn't set up players well as of late. Combined with his poor defense, and you have yourself a negative +/- player. Secondly, he is killing Kyrie Irving's ability to be a dynamic player on the court, and I mean absolutely killing it.

Get this guy on the bench, pronto.

Re: Jarrett Jack

Even those who were against this signing before the season could not have foreseen that he'd be this bad this consistently. Right now, he has to be in the running for worst starter in the league. Watching him play hurts my brain.

Re: Jarrett Jack

He's scored 15 points in his last 79 minutes of basketball on terrible shooting, has turned the ball over a ton, and is doing nothing but half-assing it on defense and taking the ball out of Kyrie's hands.

I really wish the Cavs would have found someone to dump this guy on. He's fucking terrible.

Glad Karasev got a little less than a minute tonight. Would he honestly be any worse than Jack if he took some of his minutes? I don't see how it would be possible, but that's Potato Head for you.

The Cavs are never going to win another game as long as Jack is playing ~40 minutes each and every night. Looks like they're gonna have to deal with losing until Waiters/Miles come back.

Re: Jarrett Jack

Looking over Jack's career stats, he hasn't looked this bad this 2010-2011 with the Hornets.

Who was on the 2010-2011 Hornets? Chris Paul.

Jack came back to the Hornets next year after Chris Paul was gone and put up career highs with a career high in minutes.

The moral of the story? Jarrett Jack isn't good when he isn't the guy. Paul is a ball dominant PG. Irving is a ball dominant PG.

Jack needs the ball in his hands. And with GSW, Jack could lead the second unit, a role that Dion has excelled in.

Combine that with him getting a big contract and add a little Mike Brown, and you get this version of Jack.

Horrible signing. Just horrible.

Re: Jarrett Jack

Chris Grant did more than enough to get himself fired based on this signing and bringing back Mike Brown. Just completely insane on both fronts. Mike Brown is just plain horrible. He works off his own script and can't change. Get both of these fuckers off the team as soon as possible.

Re: Jarrett Jack

His contract could kill us in free agency too. Cap space is obviously huge and he eats up 6-7 mil if I remember correctly. Ugh. I cannot stand this guy. It seems like we are always stuck with some inefficient chucker that was supposed to come in and be a solid vet. Hughes, Jamison, now this clown.

Re: Jarrett Jack

man, this guy should have been traded for SOMETHING. He sooo damn bad, what happened to Jack from Golden State? He is playing close to 40 minutes a game recently. Mike Brown needs to wake the fuck up, atleast play Karasev, I rather see him brick and throw the ball away than Jack.

Re: Jarrett Jack

I want Shaun Livingston back. Badly.

I can't tell if Jack is just cashing checks and trying to force his way out of town by mailing it in or if this offensive "system" if just so bad that it sucks everyone into the abyss. I honestly thought this was a shrewd signing in the offseason, and Jack would be a late game assassin that could toss up some 20 point games on a semi-regular basis and would take some pressure off of the young guys.

He's basically been a disaster. So many bad turnovers. Countless jumpers with his foot on the line. Always passing up open shots to dribble into trouble. Lackluster at best defense. I can't remember a time I've been excited about his play since the first week or two of the season.

Re: Jarrett Jack

Would you have trades him for an expiring?

Re: Jarrett Jack

Jack is going to play 80 games this year.

Re: Jarrett Jack

Would you have trades him for an expiring?

I'm convinced the Cavs would have traded him for an expiring if they explored trading for Jason Terry (who is basically done but has 1-year left).

I wish they had traded him, if only so we could see some of the younger players grab some of the huge minutes he's getting right now.

Re: Jarrett Jack

What hurts more Jack playing, or Varejao not playing?

Re: Jarrett Jack

Is there anyway to get this guy off the team or they stuck with him? can u straight up cut someone in the nba or is that not a option. Should we all be praying for a career ending injury?

Re: Jarrett Jack

I think we all could handle Jack's year if he were shooting around 42-44%

Hes at 36% right now and that's just horrible for a vet such as Jack.

It seems that whenever I watch I NEVER see him making a shot. if he does drain when I watch its a floater or a lucky 2 that rolls in. He had a couple good games earlier this year but man I think I saw a stat that said he only has like 2 20 point games with us and with how much he plays I just cant help but think of him as a complete failure. He is in the exact same role here that he was in in Golden State and I for the life of me cant explain why his % has decreased so much.

I also don't see how you don't trade this guy at the deadline. I have to convince myself that nobody wanted him and that we are not so stupid as to just not trade him.
