Just because Zeller is better than a lot of his draft class doesn't make him better than we thought. We saw him suck. He still sucks.

We saw him thrust into a role that he should have never been in (a starter and top 2 big man for most of his rookie season). For a big off the bench, I think he'll be just fine.

Agreed. He is a reserve and a spot starter. That doesn't mean he sucks. He can certainly be in a rotation of a playoff team.

I think he showed he is an NBA player. Would you trade him for a 2nd round pick? I wouldn't. He can at least score the ball which many centers cannot. Maybe he is ou tof the league in 2 years, but i don't really see that.

To me Zeller proved he can at least play in the NBA this year. He sucked at times, but I don't think he embarrassed himself. He needs to get stronger and perfect the midrange game, but at worst he should be a great 15 plus minute a game guy.

Ahh man it makes my blood boil when I see guys talkin bout these players like THIS is the finished product. Tyle needs to get tougher in the post YES, he still has countless other things to work on, but you make yourself look like an impatient POS when you bash him for not being a 100% finished product in his fucking rookie year. Sit down in your seat and watch the man develop before you jump down his throat. Hes what 23? Cmon guys, really? Add on that his role on the team was just too much a rookie bigman picked so late should have. We threw him in the fire and he came out on an all NBA rookie team, man calm TF down.

All ima say is hes on the right path. All rookie 2nd team is a good thing.

Assuming we draft Noel, I actually like Zeller a lot more for this team. With Noel and TT (and Varejao for now), we need a big that can space the floor. There a better ones out there that could probably be had, but Zeller is a pretty good option considering his age, contract, and potential.

Zeller reminds me of a guy in 5 years on a playoff team thatll be solid and we'll be happy we have him. Some people think hes a scrub but, 7 footers who can move and can shoot will never die in the league

This is gonna sound weird, but I really think Zeller just needs to lock himself in the gym and shoot corner 3's all summer. He has good mechanics already and shot better than people typically give him credit for (43% on jumpers over his last 20 games, according to NBA.com), and he could really solidify himself in the rotation if, in addition to improving his defense, he could step out and hit the corner 3. It would open up the floor so much for Irving/Waiters/Tristan (edit: not to mention Noel, if we draft him), who are all at their best driving to the hoop. Have to admit that this is somewhat influenced by watching the Spurs...on a lot of possessions they just pull Gasol and Randolph out of the paint and the vaunted Grizzlies defense falls like a stack of cards. Just my 2 cents.

Zeller has a good jumpshot. It is just a work in progress. If MB can get Z to play D, then I have no doubt he will be a good influence on Zeller who is 10x more mobile. MB stresses weakside awareness too, so next time Zeller steps in front of a guard, his own man will be covered which was a major issue with D last year.

Zeller would blow right by Z. Z was pretty bad his last couple of seasons. Zeller is soft, but it's not like Z could ever expose anyone in the post even though he was usually always bigger.

I'd love if somehow we could package Zeller in a deal to grab Adams, I think Zeller is gonna turn into a pretty good pro..but I think Adams is the Sleeper in this draft who everyone will regret not picking just gonna take a lil time to develop..
