Favors and Harris to Utah for Deron Williams

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I understand that Deron is pretty pist right now, but this move just shows that superstars dont yet make the rules in the league.

Clever of Utah to deal him before he starts talking about who he will and won't play for ...

Utah and Denver must have no faith in a franchise tag making it in to the next CBA, though.

So does this officially kick of the Jefferson watch 2011?

RT @tribjazz Jazz's Williams is not happy with trade.

oh boy, maybe this will get him pissed enough to demand a trade to Orlando :chuckles:

I guess Chris Paul doesn't like the trade. Tool.

Utah traded DWill?? #EpicFail #notagoodlook #trippin #cmonson

NY - CP3, Melo, Amare
NJ - D-Will, Howard, Lopez
MIA - LBJ, Wade, Bosh
CHI - Rose, Boozer, Noah/Deng

There will be too many super teams in the East:(

I honestly think that Howard will join him in New Jersey.

If the Magic can blow up the team and clear cap space, I find it more likely that DWill joins Howard instead. . . it's not like Williams has any ties with that Franchise

Absolutely no reason to keep Lopez if the Nets get Dwight. Lopez can't guard centers, let alone PFs and you don't want to put Dwight guarding PFs because most PFs in this league can bring him away from the rim, taking away one of his biggest strengths. If the Nyets sign Dwight Lopez and his weak-ass rebounding will be gone.

lol, good luck.

and if they did manage to clear enough space, NJ is still a better option. Lopez >>>>>>> anything on ORL

The stars are going to see that the lack of loyalty is going to turn around and bite them in the arse- like it did here with Williams. Utah never does this deal if this past summer didn't happen. Jazz make preemptive strike with the only their own interests in mind, which is how any market that isn't NY, LA, Chi, or MIA should do it.

But Howard has said multiple times he has a desire to play in LA or NY...

Take that, Melo

Prokhorov will now trade Deron Wiliams awful tattoos to Cleveland for a 2nd round pick #blueprntforgreatness
The Prokhorov...

These players are pissed because this move show that the owners still have some power... Gotta give it up to Utah's managment...

It's not that hard. The Magic would have the same amount of money available the Nets if Arenas opted out. While that seems like a long shot, what Otis could do is persuade Arenas into doing that (being a father figure and all) while also with the promise of re-signing him for more money than Arenas had left but more years (basically what Richard Jefferson did).

Not sure why you bring up Lopez as a selling point. He'd be gone the moment Howard signed with them. That Nets team is just awful while the Magic team is basically one piece away from winning a title. With Howard not wanting to pull a LeBron and with DWill not having any ties with New Jersey, I honestly don't see why they'd pick the Nyets

Howard has actually never said that
