Jason Lloyd is a good man, but I'm taking a reputable national writers take over his. For all I know, Lloyd could just simply be protecting the Cavs and Bynum's hand. Why would Bynum's agent say anything that would put his client's desires at risk or his client's future employer at risk. Of course the Cavs can't contact Bynum or his reps right now. TAMPERING.

I would also like to point out. Our local radio station 710 ESPN LA had Brian K. Schmitz on who is the Orlando Magic Insider for the Orlando Sentinel. He was saying that he thinks the latest a deal gets done is by next week and he anticipates it will be done through the Cavaliers. Of course this is no 100% but this is from a guy who has good Magic sources. Just thought I'd share.

The problem is that Bynum won't sign an extension, no matter what team ends up getting him.

Lloyd is a good writer, a hard worker and does have his sources. But unfortunately, he's more of a Cavs mouth piece than a legit source of information. Good beat writer, but he won't be breaking trade stories any time soon.

Has there even been any report out yet that says the cavs have talked to or been in contact with Bynum/his agent...?

Obviously they may have contacted him and kept it on the down low, but at the same time the cavs would have to receive the Lakers permission to talk to him. Just a lot of parties involved for their not to be any sort of leak, but we shall see...

In reality, the likely truth lies between The Bullshit Whisperer and Lloyd. Lloyd is ultra quiet and shooting everything down because A) the Cavs can't talk to Bynum, and B) they want to protect their assets. The Bullshit Whisperer saying its close is likely BS, but its certainly not dead either.

Bynum's not going to walk away from more $$$$$ on the table if he waits until after the season to sign.

I think we just want some kind of commitment like Dwight gave to the Lakers of resigning.
