Fried Chicken

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Fast food is almost by definition excellent, but then they screw it up by not cooking the food long enough, shoving it in a drawer, letting it sit out under heat lamps for an hour, popping it in the microwave, etc, etc.

In my experience Popeye's is more consistently good than KFC, but your mileage will vary depending on the quality of your local franchise.

The sides at KFC are inedible compared to Popeye's. Popeye's also has a secret fried catfish that is off menu. Ask for it next time you go, like you get it everyday. They go into some kind of deep freezer in the back, you wait an extra ten minutes for your order, but then WHOA....It's amazing.

You guys have obviously never had Bojangles. By far the best fast food fried chicken I've ever eaten. So juicy and delicious.

Sadly it's actually better than a lot of non fast food fried chicken I've eaten. Really everything at Bojangles is excellent. The problem is it's only in the South right now, so unless you live down here like I do you don't really have access to it.

Cook Out is another amazing fast food place that's only in a couple of states. Excellent milkshakes (and a ton of variety).

For fast food places, Frenchy's in Houston is the best fried chicken I've ever had, and I've had Popeyes, KFC, Bojangles, Church's, Mr. Chicken, pretty much any fried chicken place in NE Ohio I've been to. If you are ever in the Houston area though and want the best fried chicken you've ever had, go to The Barbecue Inn.

White House chicken or Belgrade's is much better than any fast food chicken you can get.

Eh, my wife and her family love Belgrade's. It's ok, nothing special IMO.

I only ate their once. Went on a road trip to see UC play NCState. I heard I had to stop at Bojiggity. I wasnt disappointed.

Everyone needs to go to Shealys in Batesburg, SC. It's the only one in the world and it is the best food you will ever eat. I promise. It's life changing.

Obligatory...

Dude takes his research seriously...I thought I liked chicken, but, wow...

Around Christmas I ordered some KFC wings in the drive thru, wanted them dipped in honey BBQ, and they told me they WE DON'T DIP ANYTHING ANYMORE....anyone else have this problem? I mean, that's half the joy of getting the shit- smelling the that sweet sweet BBQ sauce for 10 mins in the car on the way home but not being able to dive in. Instead, no awesome tastebud-tantalizing smell, just some dried breading. I haven't been back since then, and I see the logic of just giving everyone the dipping sauce containers as a cost-cutting measure, but COME THE *!&@^ ON! This is effing KFC!

Why did I eat McDonald's for lunch? I hate it every time, and yet I'm still drawn to it. Could have easily gone to the wing place, the Italian place, the other wing place, all day breakfast place...anything but McDonald's. And yet...
