Game 11 | #3 Ohio State vs. #9 Michigan State | November 21st, 2015

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I really hope the Columbus media doesn't skimp out on the tough questions. I mean it has to be point blank asked of Urban if the game plan was to never attempt to throw the ball at all.

Again, the wind is/was bad. But when they had the wind at their backs in the 3rd, you have to at least try.
Do you think it is they had no faith in JT? If not why start him? I'm so confused by the atrocious gameplan. We've had some terrible ones this year, but this takes the cake.

Part of me thinks they tried to hold things back because Michigan State was playing a back-up QB and they thought they could squeak by this game and then actually use the playbook next week. Elliot carried the ball twice in the second half. Like........................hello?

Again, you didn't see Michigan State winging the ball around the field either. The wind is still howling here, so I get some of the fear. But they also barely gave the ball to Zeke, so I honestly have no idea what they plan was.

EDIT: I do really want to hammer this point home. The wind is bad right now. It is. Throwing the ball deep down field was not really an option much of the game. But we didn't even throw the ball 8 yards down field.

If MSU has to play O'Connor again, they could very well lose to Penn State. Won't matter though since scUM is going to tap that ass :(

Did you watch Penn State today? That team is a disaster, there's no chance that Penn State goes into East Lansing and wins...especially after they won tonight. They're right back into the thick of the playoff hunt. I doubt they have a letdown

They took Zeke away. Thats like a team not trying to run Adrian Peterson.

Yeah, I mean I would understand if the plan was to run Elliot to victory, but he had 12 attempts, only 2 in the second half and all of them very vanilla up the middle runs. Many of them weren't even read option runs.

I don't get it...

I agree with that. But the thing is they still threw the ball. They gave the ball to their playmakers, which you accurately pointed out, we did not. Just an awful gameplan.

There's nothing to get, the game plan was pure shit. It's like the Browns during the draft, they try to get cute and end up out thinking themselves.

At least Urban wasnt happy with the conservative play calling.

Meyer just said he was not content with the play calling.

No shit.

Gonna go back and look at the drive chart, but I'm pretty sure one of those drives in the second half we ran Barrett like 6 straight times and nothing else. I honestly have no idea what is going through Beck and Warriner's heads. It's year 1 after Herman, but man I would not be upset to see Urban let both of them go after the Michigan game and take over the offense for the bowl game.

Meyer just said he was not content with the play calling.

No shit.

This is good to hear, but it's too late now, Urbz. I mean if he told them to stop being so conservative at half-time, and they didn't listen to him, then isn't that reason enough to just fire them tonight? Otherwise, he failed to communicate his feelings effectively towards them, and he should share in the blame.

Then FUCKING CHANGE IT. You're paid millions of dollars, if you don't like the play calling step in and do something about it.

New o coordinator next year or jumping the gun?
