Game 27 | Cavs @ Celtics| December 19th, 2012 | 7:30PM

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Luke Walton was the best defender on the court for the Cavs tonight. Not good.

Kyrie still runs out of energy so easily...he looked pretty gassed at the end. Hopefully he learned tonight that going into "full-on takeover mode" works better when you save it for the last couple minutes of the 4th quarter, instead of halfway through the 3rd.

Exactly...I don't know if I have any hope left for this guy. I've given up on him.

And this is why you comment on a board instead of making decisions for franchises. You don't give up on a player with less than 100 career games played. Stupid.

You really, truly, believe that? You honestly think we only have one more year of Irving after this if we aren't above .500????

Game threads are silly.

When he is a free agent....next year we need to make some serious progress, or he will plan on going somewhere else in his future

Yea, and then you think Kyrie is going to stay for the long haul. Lol

Irving is gone if we aren't above .500 next year, he wont wait. just like cp3 would have left NO, just like Melo would have left Denver, just like King James and Bosh left....this league is fucked. You can already see it on his face, he's sick of losing.

Lol he is in his second season in the NBA man. All of these players that you said, they left teams after at least 7 seasons, Irving did not play half of that time :D.

He doesn't know how restricted free agency works, obviously.

This is the most idiotic thing I've ever heard. When Kyrie is a free agent, he'll assess the team's competitiveness when he is a free agent. If we only win 30 games next year, that'll mean nothing to him if we end up winning 60 games three years later.

Yea and we're terrible. You think next year is going to be any better? The year after that? Lol this team has Kyrie and a 30 y/o AV. Dion and Zeller are nice prospects, but TT is a bust at #4 and we do not have anyone else on this squad capable of playoff basketball. Maybe managment will come up with something but damn, we are a terrible team.

Well we better get some all-star draft pics or make some damn good trades. Kyrie is a point guard, hes not 6'8 250 once in a generation Lebron James who can carry a team to 65 wins. At best he's a Cp3 and can lead the team to a first round playoff exit. right now this team is pathetic

I love this terrible thinking that a guy is a bust after he's played one full season and time and time again proves he is the best defender out of the 4 draft picks so far. But no, he looks awful on offense so he must be bad! This place is going downhill fast. We are a young and awful team playing like a young and awful team. What the hell were some of your guys expectations coming into the season? Patience is the key to any rebuild and we are 1 full year and 27 games into it. Time to relax people.

He thinks he's going to be a free agent after next year. Which won't be the case. No max contract worthy rookie has, as far as I can tell, let his rookie deal totally expire w/o signing an extension. Because doing that would mean they'd have to play a year at rookie level salary and basically lose 10 million dollars for that season, while running the great risk of having a big time injury which greatly lessens their value. Harden is about the closest someone has come, and that's solely because his team didn't want to pay him max money.

Do you know how many picks we have in next 2 or 3 seasons? Do you know how many salary cap space we have? Do you know that this is the second year of rebuilding (third year if you count on season before Kyrie came to this team)? Do you know that this is not NBA 2k13 that you can build franchise in 3 years? Do you know anything about basketball? Do you know about CBA? Do you think that there is many teams who can offer Kyrie max deal? Do you think that all potential superstar player leaving their teams if team not perform well in first couple of seasons? Stop playing NBA 2k series and get back to the real life, and to the real world, you can't build kingdom over the night, and you cant just simulate games to get first round pick and make trades that you just want to make.

For a #4 pick to be OKAY at defense and have nothing else is a sad #4 pick.

I think as time goes on the mid range jumper is going to be borderline automatic for Zeller and bigs will have to stay out with him causing a more open lane producing more offensive options.

Just thought I would drop to get a kick out of the "sky is falling" posts following a loss such as "Thompson is a bust," "kyrie will leave 5 fucking years from now" etc. Hopefully there are more unique ones soon because some of the trolls are starting to seem like bots.
