I bet we drop them. I'm accepting that they miss the playoffs now. Might as well just destroy them.

Either a 30-point loss by the Cavs, given Laker desperation, or a surprising road win that leads to the loudest boos ever heard at the Staples Center.

Whoever says we need to win is nuts. It's still entirely possible for the Lakers to make the playoffs, and we are still in contention for the worst overall record. Winning this game could be the difference between getting the 15th pick and the 1st seed into the lottery or the 27th pick and the 2nd seed into the lottery. Does anyone remember how everyone was saying that it was entirely impossible for us to get the 4th worst record last season coming into the lottery, and we actually tied for 3rd? Everyone was talking like we were getting a mid-lottery pick or even make the playoffs, but that ended quickly. The Lakers could turn it around just as easily. Get with the tank, guys!

I spit out my drink laughing when I saw the "Dwight Howard" listed as "Kosta Koufos." :chuckles:

I bet the Lakers would love to have the Koufos that torched the Cavs last night.

If Dion has a good game, I could see Kyrie going for 40 or 50 against the Lakers. No Howard and Gasol at the rim and he's torched Nash in the past. Lakers typically switch Kobe onto the PG when he's going off if this happens which means Dion will have to it going to force the Lakers from throwing too much attention at Irving

By the way, there are some amazing posts in the ESPN game thread for this game:

That last one is my favorite. Lakers fans are now officially considering trading for the fifteenth best point guard in the league a blockbuster trade. Oh how the mighty have fallen.
