Game 8 | Denver (6 - 1) @ Cavs (1 - 6) | November 1st, 2018 | 7:00pm EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Stats that jump out at you:

Cavs 5-18 from three; Hood, Dekker, and Clarkson a combined 0-8; Korver missed the only 3 he took.

We can make FTs, though: 18-19.

Hood and Dekker combined: 63 minutes, 4-19 from the field, 14 points.

Cavs got killed on the boards: 44-35; only guy with more than 4 was TT, with 7.

Looking at that blood-bath of a second quarter, it was the starters who gave up the biggest run, in the last 5 minutes of the half.

Cavs started the quarter with Sexton, Clarkson, Nwaba, Korver, Nance, and a 12-point lead.

After 3 minutes, it was down to a 5-point lead (31-26 8:46).

Then we had:
George Hill enters the game for Collin Sexton
Rodney Hood enters the game for Kyle Korver

Then the Nuggets started raining 3s, but the Cavs still led 36-32, with 6:57 left in the half.

Then:
Tristan Thompson enters the game for David Nwaba
Sam Dekker enters the game for Larry Nance Jr.
Cedi Osman enters the game for Jordan Clarkson

A Hill lay-up with 5:34 put the lead back to 4, at 38-34, with 5:34 left.

Then Hill, Hood, Osman, Dekker, and TT gave up a 10-0 run, before Sexton came back in for Hill, at 2:16.

The deficit was 7, at 0:34, when:
Larry Nance Jr. enters the game for Rodney Hood
Jordan Clarkson enters the game for Sam Dekker

Basically, guys spent the second quarter tripping over their dicks, turning the ball over, bricking shots.

Basically, no one looked like a pro basketball player.

I paid $12 for my section 207 Row 1 seat tonight lul.... Oh boy it's gonna be a long winter bundle up fellas

Wonder if these game threads even make it to 10 pages once the tank is working overtime

Nance with 10 less minutes than TT so far tonight. Drew is seriously just as bad of a coach as Lue, just without the annoyingly punchable face and annoying interviews.
TT did an excellent job on Jokic.
Tristan had 4 assist , 2 secondary assist. while holding Jokic to 2-5 shooting and 4 points

Where the cavs were struggling was team rebounding and that was an issue with dekkar vs milsap.

Nance I think should of been put on the floor with TT .

Meanwhile Nance lost his matchup with Mason Plumlee

Denver attacked the Cavs Screens

Meanwhile the Cavs were 5 of 18 for threes

Trey Lyles grabbed 6 boards showing Cedi wasn't boxing out.

Korver and Hood could do nothing about Hernanagomez.

This would of been a great game to insert larry in the starting lineup with TT and have dekkar come off the bench with Anzic.

2nd quarter it was the bench including nance that failed to maintain momentum and the starters checked back in to maintain the bad play.

Cavs needed to crash the boards this game. they weren't shooting well enough to let Denver constantly have 3-1 rebounding advantage every other possession.

yeah it was definitely a team effort to play poorly in that 2nd half.

I feel like Nance should of been left in with TT

with hill or hood brought for Korver and leaving sexton out there.
