By live, I don't mean you had to be there in person, but you saw it actually happen live on television.

    Mine by far:

I was at Belmont Park for the Belmont Stakes in 1973 with my dad, his brother and my cousin. We were living in the NY area at that time and horse racing enthusiasts. So, I happened to be right along the fence about 20 yards before the finish line. Probably the greatest race, by the greatest thoroughbred of all time. I also happened to see what was probably the greatest Harness horse win his greatest race effort as well ..Niatross. But, Secretariat winning the Belmont was just one of those once in a lifetime things where you knew even at that time you had just witnessed what will be one of the greatest moments in history... Here's a clip..

To try and put in perspective the level of dominance ..to this day, in the history of thoroughbred horse racing, no thoroughbred has come within 13 lengths of the time Secretariat posted in that race. Hard to fathom that level of domination.

I was thinking of Secretariat when I saw this thread. I was only 3 at the time, so I can't claim to have watched it. How cool that you were there.

For me it has to be when LeBron made the game winner vs the Magic. The place was dead silence after Hedo made his shot with some people even leaving. But when the shot went in, it exploded like nothing you could ever imagine. People didn't leave the arena for a good 10 minutes and everybody still going nuts like when the shot just went in.

I almost cried after this. LeBron's game winner against Orlando is the second.

MJ's buzzer beater over the Jazz. I was a little MJ fanboy back in the day (this was when I was like 8). Wasn't raised in a Cavs household (or any sports for that matter, weird how I did so well in sports growing up).

Also games five and six of ECF Cavs/Pistons, and Bron's winner over Orlando.

Also Bron's stretch of ridiculous buckets in that Milwaukee game, that one sticks with me despite being a regular old game.

I've been to a number of great games and some really dubious events. I also was at the Lebron vs Orlando 3 pointer game.

This was really fun to be apart of

OK. So it was Gymnastics. But I don't think I've seen anything like this before or since.

My seats were a little to the side of the start/finish line. I was watching them go by, and I honestly thought Kurt Busch won from my angle. It was a crazy finish. I went to Darlington every year, and never saw another race even close to that one.

So I thought this was for sports moments we saw in person, which is what my first two videos consisted of.

This was by far my favorite sports moment that I saw live on TV:

^ Definitely my best moment not actually being there.

For an actual live event, I guess it's a sad one, the Elway Drive. Never experienced such a change in the crowd within a just a few minutes. From sad to exuberant to downright major dissapointment.
