Harrison Barnes WILL MAKE 6 TEAMS PAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
When I see Harrison Barnes I see potential greatness... A combination of Steve Smith, Glen Rice and Scottie Pippen wrapped into a single player... The ability to run the floor, move off the ball, take off the dribble, post up, defend, rebound, pass, shoot from deep, shoot from mid-range, with a high basketball IQ... Working on the handles to shake defenders is key-- once conquered, I believe it's safe to suggest he will pass up Carmelo to stake claim to being the 3rd best SF behind LeBron and Durant easily...

There's something special there and it's blossoming...

I just read this in a Bill Walton voice.

Pip, if front-runners had a league, you'd be my favorite player.

I don't know that Harrison Barnes will make any teams pay, but my goodness did he make Nikola Pekovic pay as he absolutely annihilated one of the scariest dudes in the league.

Maybe averaging 25 a game is premature, but I wouldn't rule it out with his ability to score. He's got a whole career ahead of him, so obviously I'd consider that a bold statement for him to do something not many players have done.

Either way, though, averaging 20+ a game is something I see him doing.

I can't believe the Warrior's announcer called that a windmill jam (referring to dunk on Pekovic).

Ironically, I think Barnes would have been the perfect guy to put next to Irving and Waiters. Next to Irving alone, though, I don't think he would have been as good a fit. I was actually hoping on draft night after we took Waiters at four (which, unlike most, I was in favor of) that we'd do the rumored trade to Golden State for the seventh pick and draft Barnes.

I'm such a jerk off.

I hated Barnes before the draft. I'd slang my Barnes hatred everywhere, harping on how heavy-footed he looked moving around, how lacking he was in first-step quickness and ability to beat his man off the dribble, and how his on-court explosiveness just never matched his stellar athletic testing results. I wanted the Cavs to have nothing to do with him (even though I did have some late-hour backtracking when I considered how he and Dion might compliment each other if we were going to do that trade).

That dunk broke my heart. I take it all back. I love Barnes. I wish we had taken him. I was wrong... so wrong.

I think a lot of you guys had Harrison Barnes mixed up with Austin Rivers before the draft....

There wouldn't be enough shots to go around to satisfy Waiters/Kyrie/Barnes.

Kyrie is and always will be a score first point, and Dion has a very healthy appetite for shots, I don't see where a guy like Barnes fits in who also wants to score the basketball.

Unless we are going to build like the Kings with a bunch of "me first" kind of guys, we need to look only for defensive oriented 3's going forward or we will be like the Kings with teammates fighting for shots.

I disagree about Barnes. I don't see him as a volume guy. I see him as a third or fourth option type of guy who benefits from the attention drawn by his teammates, which is why I think he would have been a perfect fit next to Irving and Waiters.

If you're sincere in this post, and not sarcastic, you deserve some kudos for admitting you were wrong. I can respect that. As a Harrison Barnes fan since his Jr year in HS, and someone that said he'd have an NBA game similar to Paul Pierce (and got ripped repeatedly for that view), I appreciate what you wrote.
