Haslam plotting Browns trade?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
would only the ownership swap or the whole team/coaches?

Has to be ownership only in this imbecilic idea. I'm sure he'd exchange equivalent ownership of the Browns for equivalent ownership of the Titans. Maybe it'd be based on the estimated value of the franchise?

Who the fuck knows. Won't happen.

Lol Brown's aren't going anywhere. Did you forget our city PAYS them to use the stadium? This team is a cash cow. No idiot buys this and moves them.
Maybe he'd get even more in LA. Art Modell was sneaky, Haslam buying the team came out of nowhere. These shysters ain't gonna catch us sleeping.

No they won't, in fact in LA the local municipalities are balking at providing more than just infrastructure. The Rams owner, for example, will be footing almost the entire bill (he already owns the land). Simply not happening, not even legal since the Browns just renegotiated those payments under Banner anyway. One of the teams without a new stadium would jump right in, too.

Quit using logic- everything would be traded, even ushers. Wives too. The 9 would be relocated to Nashville so the players would have somewhere to live.

This is going to happen.

Why?

Cause Cleveland, that's why :chuckle:
If anything, this happening would be the most anti-Cleveland thing of all time. We would be lucky sons of bitches to be able to rid ourselves of a guy who has (so far) proved unstable.

Browns label story of franchise swap with Titans '100 percent false'

Cleveland-area media were meeting with Browns GM Ray Farmer about several topics – including being more transparent in commenting on news stories – when the club found itself in the position of having to quash the latest rumor surrounding the team.

CBSSports’ Jason LaCanfora, a nemesis of the franchise for over a year, floated the possibility of Browns owner Jimmy Haslam in effect trading the Browns to acquire the Tennessee Titans.

A potential sale of the Titans since the passing of owner Bud Adams in October of 2013 has been consistently denied by the franchise.

If it were just LaCanfora’s speculation at work – proposing a franchise swap, which was last seen when Robert Irsay purchased the Los Angeles Rams in 1972 and then traded them for the Baltimore Colts -- the Browns would have ignored the column.

But LaCanfora wrote that “several highly-placed sources have suggested there might be backroom talks of a potential franchise swap with the Browns.”

And he quoted “one source who deals directly with many ownership groups” as saying, “Don't ignore the possibility of a swap with the Browns when that time comes.”

After a few texting communications with Haslam, a Browns spokesman responded: “It is 100 percent false. There’s no truth to the careless speculation from this reporter.”

Haslam completed a purchase of the Browns from the Lerner Family Trust in October of 2012. The sales price was $1.005 billion.

I don't believe anything Haslam says. I just know that the sooner we don't have a southern gas station attendent running the team the better.

It would be, ultimately, probably impossible

LOL, that's a pretty good line. "It's impossible but I'm write a story that makes it sounds like it's possible."

No love for LaCanfora in Berea, that's for sure.

Does this mean we go back to the old shade of Orange?:)

LaCanforna is a joke.

Why on earth wouldn't the Browns just get creative with a retort for once. Like just RT the article with a "lol". Not even in caps.

If JH3 is tryna cost-plus Browns fans of course he is going to throw (more) shade at the guy exposing the scheme.
