The Jimmy Haslam Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
He also mentioned that the second warrant was issued because there was another facility that the FBI/IRS had not realized they needed to get into. They asked for and received that warrant. It isn't a warrant that had to do with chasing the evidence, really. For a place that got evacuated, there sure isn't much uncovered here.

I think they're alleging that Pilot/Flying J didn't issue those rebates, or something of the like. Haslam's stance is that there has been no wrong-doing.

He commented on the Browns how he's sorry (although he believes there was no wrongdoing) that he shed negative light on Cleveland and/or the Browns. He said its business as usual and he plans to be up here on Thursday to assess the draft situation.

Honestly, I am glad that Haslam will have a pre-draft meeting with Banner/Lombardi. If there's group think going on in that building, JH3 is going to pick it apart. At least, that is how I view his personality.

The only thing I really care about is "will this have a detrimental effect on the way the Browns are run?" Obviously no one can definitively answer that without more details, but as long as the Browns are fine I could care less about his other companies.

This was obviously propagated by the Steelers.

There has to be more to this story than what we know.

If this really is just an issue with promised rebates, that's more of a civil suit matter. Nothing I've heard about this warrants an FBI search of the premises for 2 straight days.

FBI investigates white collar crimes too, and not paying out rebates is certainly a white collar crime.

Oh snap

Oh come on.

So someone explain what this means. What's gonna happen next?

This city's luck is FUCKING HORSE SHIT.

:hide:

"Many years".... and it unfolds when he's in Cleveland.

Can't catch a break.

The Browns are Jimmy Haslam's A1A Car Wash.

Whatever...we'll be fine. There's always money in the banana stand.

Thanks for hooking us up Goodell. Is this unprecedented? Has an NFL owner ever been investigated or arrested? Anyone know what happens here if he can't run the team? Does the NFL take it away or what? What happens if the government ceases his assets, the Browns being one of them.

Well, I'm no expert, but I would say that President Obama would be the new "owner" of the team.

Actually, the people of the country would. The "government" is an extension and representation of the people.
