Hearthstone

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Rivendare is from Naxx, so you can't dust him. Hogger you certainly can (and should) though. Hogger is such a cool card, he's just a 6 drop in a game where so many of the game's best cards cost 6 mana.
Damn, I forgot rivendare was Naxx. Guess that means I've only gotten 2 legendaries in like 55 packs. Suppose that sounds about right.

That's a bummer, the ratio is about 1 for every 20. I bought 60 GvG packs on release and only pulled two legendaries though. RNG is a bitch sometimes.

So I just cracked Onyxia in my Tavern Brawl pack. Dust or keep? Looks like Priest and Warrior are about to have relevant dragon decks, so I'm thinking hang onto it.

(Also, totally forgot that I had Neptulon. Dust that one? I don't see any interesting Murloc decks anytime soon, especially with Shaman)

Sidebar: Had my first 8-win arena yesterday, so that was pretty rad. Also, this Tavern Brawl with the TGT cards is way more fun that I thought it would be. The Inspire Mage deck they made is pretty interesting.

I don't reccommend dusting anything but bottom tier legendaries at first. Ony could potentially have a spot, though that's doubtful because Alexstraza and Ysera and Nefario are all just better. Who knows, though.

Definitely keep Neptulon. It's not the murloc tribal that's huge, but he's a 7/7 for 7 mana that refills your hand and allows you to continue building your board in subsequent turns. He's a good card.

You know it is time to stop playing for the day when a Druid plays Thaurissan on turn 6 and I play around combo on my turn 7. On his turn 7 he proceeds to innervate double combo me for lethal. Suffered some brutal losses but that one might top them all.

On a positive note pulling off patron wins against control warriors with no board from 50 health feels good yet shows how completely broken the deck is. A year ago miracle rogue was able to pull off 25 damage with no board and was completely nerfed. It is very hypocritical of Blizzard to change one but not the other.

Between the pre-order and my saved up gold, I'll be cracking around 85 packs tomorrow. Super excited.

Yup, I caved pretty quick and got the pre order shortly after it was available. Gonna probably get another 15 TGT and 15 Classic cause I'm still catching up.

Was gonna go free to play, but turns out I completely love this game and even with all my purchases, it's still cheaper than an Xbox game with DLC

90 packs. 3 Legendaries. And one was a duplicate. Justicar Trueheart and two Ronins.

Ugh.

At least they are good legendaries. Plus side is after dusting some goldens, I'm gonna have enough to craft almost three more legendaries.

Gotta start thinking about what I wanna craft. Dr. Boom is number one. Then I gotta decide.

Edit: Oh, and I also ended up with Confessor Paletress. Which I'm really excited about playing.

I'm just shy of enough dust for one more legendary. Should have it by the end of the week or next.

I'd really like to play Control Warrior, ideally a dragon version. If I had to pick one to craft, should I do Varian Wrynn, Ragnaros, or Alextrasza?

I'm leaning toward Varian Wrynn because that card just seems flat out awesome.

Wrynn is really good right now but when things settle down a little I imagine people will be able to play around it and save their board clears. If Wrynn puts 2-3 minions in play it gives an opportunity for huge value from Brawl, Shadowflame, and Blade Flurry.

I see what you're saying, but I feel like if they are gonna hang on to their board clears all the way to turn 10, they've probably already lost the game, no?

And if you're playing a control warrior, I assume they have already had to deal with either Alexstrasza, Rag or Dr. Boom. You might be totally right though. Guess it just remains to be seen.

Alexstraza is 100% needed to play control warrior.
So if I had Varian, Alex, and Dr Boom (also have Onyxia and all the adventure legendaries if I play dragon version), is that sufficient? Or is Rag an auto include? Feels like he's replaceable.

I've also been experimenting with a Priest deck that I had been thinking about for a couple weeks. It could be really fun if I can figure it out.

I'm trying to base it around Confuse, using low cost, high health minions (Deathlord, Mogushan Warden, Tournament Medic) and other minions and spells to buff that health (Dark Cultist, Power Word Shield, Velen's, Divine Spirit), and then Confuse them into OTK.

I got off 35-40+ damage a couple times on people yesterday, but I'm not getting the card draw I need, and really need more removal and early game control.

I hope I can figure it out though. It's fun. It's like a whole deck full of Inner Fire.

Rag isn't necessary by any means. He's a good late game drop, but that's about it. If you're playing dragon and have a limited card pool, I think Chromaggus may actually be a better card in that slot anyway.

Do you have Grom? If not, if you plan to play warrior, he's definitely your next craft. In fact, I'd craft him over Varian.

I don't have Grom, but he's on my list. I was aiming toward a few more neutral minions before I dove into class specific ones.

You think Grom over Chillmaw? Seems like Chillmaw has some good synergy in a Control Warrior deck, especially against Patron, and I've played against a couple Dragon Priests and it looks like that deck might be pretty legit too. Maw would probably be a good fit there too.
